Avoiding to tell coworkers about weight losses

Ever get into the situation at work, home or school where you feel like you have to hide your excitement about losing weight. 3 of the women in my office are having trouble and all I hear is how hard it is to lose and they are doubling up on exercise every day to try to move the scale. I came in today at 17 lbs down from Jan 10th and felt like standing on my desk and doing the happy dance, but had to squash that with all the griping this morning. I didn't want to brag about my efforts. So I guess letting you guys know will have to do. I met my first mini-goal this week, 4 days ahead of schedule. Now onto goal number 2 - 160 lbs by March 18th.

Way to go Tina !!!!

That's just outstanding. The two ladies I work with are quite slender, but I think that's just as bad. I feel a bit silly raving about my losses when they don't seem to struggle the same way I do.

If I have to answer the question, "can you have chocolate ?" one more time, I think someone may get hurt....

Chin up, you're fantastic !

Nope. I'm the loud, opinionated type. Complete opposite of shy. Life's short - toot your horn while you can.

Great job on your losing ways, babe!

I'm keeping up with my losses vs. plan on a chart that is sitting on my desk so that anyone that comes into my office can see it. It is amazing that you can lose 17 lbs. in 5 weeks, but it can be done. I don't expect to lose that way in the next 5 weeks, I know it will slow down.

Here's how I have done it....I have stuck with the Phase 1 plan and don't feel like I am missing anything by not having the bread/fruit carbs in phase 2. I walk 30 minutes a day, and I still have a glass of red wine in the evening. It's not bothering me so far. I drink lots of water with crystal light added. My favorite breakfast is cottage cheese with lime jello in it. I ALWAYS have a salad a day and only eat chicken, turkey or fish. My salads have lots of peppers (red, yellow, green, hot), chicken lunchmeat from the deli (cut thick) and SB dressing. No red meat. I eat laughing cow cheese wedges, SF jello, or a spoon of natural peanut butter for snacks. Food does not control me anymore. I control IT. I made the best white chicken chili last night, and I'm having it for lunch today. I used boiled chicken breasts, FF chicken broth, canneloni and navy beans, 3 different colored peppers, organic tomatoes, and cumin spices.

Thanks for the support with your replies. We are all in this together.

Roll Tide too!
