Good, some of us will be doing phase 1, some 1.5, whatever it takes for each of us to detox, right?

This is day 2 for me since I started my binge Thursday and managed to begin climbing out of it yesterday, yippee,

How are we doing ladies?

I had a tough day but have 2 perfect days now, knock on wood. I had forgotten that the bad carbs aren't worth it.

oh, it's a term people use to do phase 1 with fruit.

I did phase 1.5 most of the day, but I had some noodles in my soup for dinner. I'm not letting one thing get me down though. THe rest of my day has been good.

Marva, I will join you, but DD is coming tomorrow night for beef and noodles with mashed potatoes, UGH. Maybe I will SB it all day, have the dinner (we work together) with my hubby and on Wednesday, I will start back full force. Wednesday is always a good day for me, it's hump day. TOmorrow, State is coming in for our inspection for our yearly license, (we work in a daycare) so tomorrow is NOT a good day to start a diet. I will try to do my best, and my best is what I'll give it. K?

I haven't read this thread on purpose. Marva - I don't wanna do phase 1 (can you hear me stamping my foot in protest?). I know I need to but I just can't seem to get my mind around it. It takes me a few days to make up my mind and accept things like this. I'll start on Monday (promise). I don't expect to lose any weight but I need to get my eating under control. I'm afraid if I start today or tomorrow, I'll just rebel and make matters worse if I don't go through a little "grieving" process. I know I know stupid thinking but I know me and if I just start Phase 1 all "willy nilly" it will end up worse in the end when I binge because I'm resentful.

Monday it is for me. Thanks Marva for being here for all of us sweetie. You are truly the rock around here babe!!!!

I'm doing P1 this week too, and next! Just started SB with my DH.

I came to a conclusion yesterday on day one (usually I'm a little slower on the uptake so this is a milestone!). I eat because I'm bored (I know, shock and horror!) Yesterday when I opened the fridge mid-afternoon and saw veggies, cottage cheese and string cheese, I decided that I would pass. I was hungry about an hour and a half before dinner so I had the string cheese then. I was hungry at dinner time, but not famished and the meat and veggies were very satisfying!

We'll see what today brings. I'm still looking forward to all the different vegetables we've got stocked in the house. Hopefully I'll be saying the same thing next Tuesday!

Wishing you a great day
Kirsten

Good for us!

Looks like we're all doing good.

I am so thrilled, Saturday I was up 4 lbs and I knew I had to climb back on. Yesterday morning I was back down to siggy - less the 4 lbs and this morning I am down 2 more pounds. It's all about SBD and staying on it.

Last night my cravings began to diminish and this morning is good. No food is worth the feeling we have when we have peace with our food and appetite. Ya'll help me remember that.

This is my 3rd day, 2nd for some and 1st for some, let's make it a perfect one!

Everyone please share!

One day on P1 and lost 1lb of the 5 I gained. Maybe I will have a mini whoosh and lose the additional 4! I am just happy to be on track and have the scale going in the right direction again.

i am new

Hi all, I am new and am just starting today. I did Atkins about 2 years ago and lost over 40 pounds and was feeling great, but I am a wife, mom, college student and now work part time, and it is fairly restrictive and I couldn't keep up and fell off the wagon. I gained it all back plus a few extra. So last summer i started trying to at least watch my calories and eat better and i lost 24 pounds and 10 more by exercising, however i frequently fall back into old habits because of the sugar and carb cravings being back. So i looked into SBD and it looks a bit less restrictive which helps with packing lunches and cooking, so I am going to plan my eating around this plan. I plan on doing phase 1 for 1 month instead of just 2 weeks, to really kick start the weight loss and keep me in the right frame of mind. (takes 30 days to make a habit). Anyway as I don't have the book, and just have been reading the plan on the web etc.. I will probably have lots of questions for you guys. Here is what i ate this morning:

2 scrambled eggs
1 pc bacon
16 oz water

here is my planned menu for the day

lunch:
16 oz water
1 cup of chili (meat/kidney beans/tomato sauce/ chili seasoning)
1 stalk of celery

snack
1/2 cup cottage cheese 16 oz water

i know i need to up my wter intake to at least 100- 130 oz but i have to do that gradually over about a week.
dinner
large green salad with grilled chicken 2 oz shredded cheese, onion, 2 tbsp sf ranch dressing. 16 oz water

dinner

I started SB this week and am on day 2. I feel soooo good when I'm eating LC. Why I ever go off, I don't know... er, hang on, I do. Its called "sugar". I'm terrible!

I had great success on Atkins over the past 2 years, losing 45 lbs. I feel healthy and relatively thin but still want to lose 20lbs more (I'm 8 lbs up from siggy, I'm in denial about changing it) and shape up. Also, Atkins seemed to have stopped working for me and I think it may be the higher fat content that I was freely devouring. So here I am, in SB land.

I like SB so far. I can't wait to eat fruit in a few weeks and not feel guilty. I love fruit!

Good luck everyone and I hope to pop in here once in a while!

I am working on my second perfect day on Phase 1 - 1.5ish. I don't forsee any problems right now. I am focused and there is no illegal food in my house. If I can keep up sticking to the plan and working out together, I'll be in good shape. No pun intended .

Hi all

I'm feeling so good. This is day two and it's going great. As Sweetalex said, I don't know why I ever stopped LC because it feels so good ! (ya, ya.....sugar !)

I woke up down 2 lbs !

I've been sticking with the same types of food basically - mini-quiche with sausage for breakfast, salad with a scoop of chicken salad for lunch and tonight is chicken and broccoli for dinner. Yesterday we had a porktenderloin for dinner with broccoli. Oh, and tea is back in the routine for after lunch and dinner.

I have come to the conclusion that I'm not doing a "true SB induction". I have made peace with that and I will figure this out as I go. I wonder if a combination of SB/Atkins is possible ?

I was craving some sweets this afternoon.....but not uncontrollably. I made it through with the help of a Diet Pepsi

Happy LC'ing
