Is there a website where you can just look up the Gi # for foods quickly? I Am doing Atkins version of LC...but Am thinking about looking in the Glycemic index of the foods I am eating as well..
thanks guys! |

The Prevention Mag. website has the index. That is where I got my print out.

www.glycemicindex.com
you can look up the foods individually in the database. also look at the glycemic load as well as the glycemic index. I think glycemic load is really a better indicator of a good food. It takes into account the carbs per serving as well as the rise in glucose of the carbs. For an explanation, go to www.glycemicindex.com and click on FAQS in the left hand menu, then click on the first question: What is the difference between glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL)? |
