*♥*TGIF Check In - Jan. 13*♥*

Hi Beachers! Oooh it's Friday the 13th. Personally, I didn't care for the movie, but am a big "Nightmare on Elm Street" fan. I love the imaginatiion of it and the creativity - not to mention the gore.

I had one perfect day on Thursday and am up for another one. Is anyone with me?

I'm still journaling with WW points, but strictly South Beach Phase 1 foods. I don't feel lightheaded, shaky or hungry - imagine that! I think I am one of those whose body has changed and I just can't tolerate refined sugar, processed junk carbs, etc.

Good Morning Stephanie! Congrats on the perfect day! Sounds like you have found the winning combination for yourself. Keep up the good work!

Hi Marva! That IS a good luck charm! Cute too! She can stick around every day!

I also had a perfect day yesterday. I am definitely back on track, and hope to see the scale trending downward soon.

I had an interesting experience yesterday. I was doing a "custom kitchen" install yesterday. We organize pantries & cupboards by centers, like baking, spices, snack, etc. The snack center for this family was 3 times the size of any of the 6 centers we did! I could not believe all the junk food! The family looks fairly healthy and none are overweight. I think some people are just be able to truly "snack", you know a few chips or crackers here and there. I have never been able to do that! Open a bag of chips, I would eat half of it! Open a package of cookies, 2 days later they are all gone! That, along with meal portion size will always be my biggest challenge!

But now, I can enjoy a SB "snack" like celery & peanut butter, or a piece of fruit and feel satisfied with a small portion! I am even more convinced that all the bad carbs, sugar & fat are an addiction for me! Real, healthy food doesn't present the same problem...

Sorry to ramble on, but I I just love all the stuff I am learning about food AND myself on South Beach!

Hello

I figured I'd be maintaining or up slightly today and it's up slightly .5, but I expected that. I'll be on track all weekend!!!!!!!!!!

Today is my staff holiday party, pot luck so that could be a little challenging, but we'll try to be good. Renee

Argh.
One good day followed by two bad ones, and I'm back where I started.
I have a hard time convincing myself that it's worth it to not eat whatever it is I'm "enjoying" even when I'm already satisfied. I haven't "cheated" - everything I've been eating is on plan, but I'm still struggling with how much and how often I'm eating.
Somehow those few moments when I'm eating always outweigh the idea that in a few days, or weeks, I'll feel better about myself, my weight, and my control.
*sigh*
So my plan is now - to try an eating schedule.

Breakfast - before work
Snack - 10:00
Lunch - noon
Snack - 3:00
Snack - 5:00
Dinner - 8ish

Otherwise I tend to just never stop eating, all day long. I hear redqueen on snacking - I can even still easily polish off a bag of high-fiber chips or ww crackers in one or two sittings - I just can't put it away (and even when I do, I just get it back out after a few hours... )

So anyway - I'm so glad it's Friday. I'll take it even tho it's the 13th.
I have a busy schedule this weekend, maybe it'll help me from eating non-stop. Although, I'm worried about this camp-out we're having, there's bound to be tons of snacky foods. I'll have to make a point to bring veggies and other lf items.

Now, back to work!
