*♥*Tuesday Check In - Jan. 10*♥*

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

3:08 in the morning and I can't sleep! I had a glass of wine with dinner and it disrupts my sleep. Think I won't be drinking wine on a weeknight again!

I have to go grocery shopping today and stock up on good food! I made a couple of not great choices yesterday because there wasn't anything good in the house! No wonder the scale is stuck!

Today is the day I get back on track! So, I'm wishing everyone a wonderful, perfect day on the Beach!

Morning all! My official weigh in for after the holidays is 3 pounds above signature weight. Not terrible, I suppose. I have been back on for a week, but having trouble getting the cravings under control. Especially when I am home alone some evenings. Craving something crunchy. Ate a few nuts last night, but that is too limited an amount to help. I did give in and have a handful of pretzels. Not good. Any suggestions for crunchy snacks that satisfy?

Good morning ladies!

I stepped on the scale this morning (daily nasty habit) and was pretty pleased with what I saw. After yesterday's boot camp work out, I'm surprised I could stand this morning - I'm so sore but I figured it might have scared a 1/2 pound or so off me and I was right! Of course nothing counts until official weigh in day but it was a nice feeling nonetheless. I'm also happy to report that I can actually button my goal jeans! Now don't get too excited for me. They are so snug that I feel like one of those video "hunnies" on an MTV video and my circulation was cut off. I couldn't bend or stand or move basically but I did close that gap and get them to button and zip! They won't be fitting comfortably for a while but it looks like my goal to wear them on the plane in June for vacation is right on target!

Today's exercise plans are 2 classes at the gym - a 45 minute step class (I'll use double risers) and an extreme class to follow that. I'm so fortunate my bosses are understanding about my gym time and give me a few extra minutes at lunch. They are dolls to do that!

Chris - good morning! Sorry you couldn't sleep hon but glad to hear you're back on track. You'll get those cravings under control. Maybe a day or 2 on Phase 1 might help?

Denise - I don't think I could survive the nights without a big bottle (or 2) of water and sugarless chewing gum. The gum keeps my mouth occupied but makes me thirsty so that forces me to drink more water. Also, for my crunchy snacks, I enjoy popcorn. I think we are allowed 3 cups but I can't remember right now. I eat a bag on the weekends for lunch. It's only 170 calories for the bag and I'm usually pretty full with that a diet soda and maybe a piece of fruit.

Have a great day ladies and I'll try to check back later!

Good morning Chris, Denise, Lisa and everyone to follow!

I did pretty well yesterday. I thought I was going to go to P1, but I just really enjoy my glass or two of wine at night. And I saw on the sticky that wine is allowed in P2. But it didn't specify red or white wine. I have the original SB book and though I haven't looked in a while, I thought it said that red wine was preferred. Does anyone know if this changed in later versions? Because I drink white zinfandel. TIA!

Lisa, I am so impressed with how consistent you are with you exercise. I really need some of your motivation!

Denise, I have found that the microwaved cheese can really help me with my salt cravings. But then I love Cheezits!

Chris, I made sure I went to the store after work yesterday so that I would have lots of legal choices on hand. I made a roast (after dinner last night) so that I would have some lean meat on hand to munch on. And I stocked up on string cheese and cottage cheese!

KUTGW!

Hello

Had plans to start fresh and clean yesterday and I come home to Lite Beer in the frig and Chinese food that DH took care of on his night off. So, of course, we watch the movie he rented and I downed (too much) of the beer. My head hurts.

But I'm down 1.5 pounds from eating well during the day, I guess.

Today,

2 Hard Boiled eggs
Diet Pepsi right now to give me some energy.
Salad for lunch
Bite sized sausages for an needed snacks........

dinner - probably chicken and something.

Have a good day everyone! Renee

Good morning all!

Hi Chris, hope your day is good even without much sleep and thanks for getting us started!

You did great Denise and I am also dealing with cravings. For the crunchy, I like the little chips called Just the cheese, just a few really helps. Good luck!

Edited to add the link:

http://www.netrition.com/just_the_cheese_page.html

Lisa, you go girl, you are such an inspiration for us!

Hi Callie, in the SBD good fats/good carbs revised handguide, it lists both red and white wine, hope that helps!

Good going on your weight loss Renee!

I'm going to try to have one perfect one!

Hi to all who follow........

Hi Gang
thanks for all the tips ..especially the popcorn one. I love popcorn, but three cups to me isnt all that much...lol I know, portion control issues. I am starting Phase 2 tomorrow. I did not lose that much on phase 1. Only 2.8 pounds gone. I had lost five, but somehow gained back the other. Have not strayed either. So who knows. Then this morn. I was up a pound also. Have cut way back on sodium so I dont know what is going on. Just a little upset. I will get over it.

I will continue to stay on plan. Have a great day everyone.
Sheila

Just a quick hi in the daily.
Don't have time for personals or anything, but I wanted to check in.
I'm back and committed to P2, and trying to do menus/post my food diary, since I *know* it's my downfall.
If nobody sees me eat it, the calories don't count, right??? lol

My plan for today is:

B: Zoom cereal w/Brummel and Brown and sf maple syrup
S: Fiber-one cereal
L: left over ww noodles w/turkey and veggies
S: apple
D: pork chops and salad

oh, and tons of water!
gotta run...

Just checking in to say "Shame on me!" I've been BAAAAD since the weekend but I'm going to do a couple days of P1 and get BACK on track!!

Sheila - I feel your pain on the portion control issues, I am the same way!
The words "serving size" for me usually translate into "entire box"

Lynne - I do P2 for the same reason - I would really miss my wine. I am a red drinker (self-proclaimed Pinot Noir junkie) and I find I can still lose if I'm just SUPER careful about carbs - not too much fruit, sugar-free treats, etc. I find I can skip those if I can have my red wine treat

Hi to all - hope we all have a great "Beach day"

Hi WintersTale - I love my white zin! I was actually doing the same thing (starting with P2) this past fall and from October 5 to Thanksgiving I lost 8 lbs. Unfortunately, I gained back 5 lbs. over Christmas.

I hadn't thought of it before, but I really don't do any sugar free treats (suger alcohols really do a number on my stomach ) and I've never been a big fruit eater. So I'll be keeping my treat, too!
