*♥*HAPPY NEW YEAR Check In - Jan. 1, 2006!♥*

Happy New Year Beachers!

New Year's Day... It is a time for new beginnings, new attitudes. Off with the old, on with the new.

Today, I had my weigh-in and by some miracle, I have only gained 1 pound over the Holidays! It seems that the things I have learned and habits that I established during the last 4 months haven't been completely undone!

I am off to reacquaint myself with my goals for the "Get Your Kix in 2006" challenge! Getting completely back on track is going to be work, so I need to stay focused!

I am so thankful for South Beach, this place, and for all of you who so generously give of yourselves so that we can all succeed!

Happy New Year!

I also feel great and ready to go for the goal! I'm most thankful that I'm beginning the new year weighing less than last year.

Great going Chris and Sharon and I'm also thankful for our forum!

Love you guys!

Hi Marva,
Thanks for the comments.
I could NOT believe my doc's scale when I began seeing him in July.
But SAME scale showed numbers indicated - except December's.
That is a home digi-scale. (he cancelled my Dec. appt. because he was off this past week.
I DO intend to eat better quality foodstuffs but for now I do not have the mindset to measure and all, so....I'll continue as is till I lose more and get determined to
improve fats, etc... and I'm carb-leary of ingesting certain items allowed on SB.
BEST to ALL South Beachers !

Good Morning Beachers and Happy 2006!!! My husband and I were up until 2:30am this morning ringing in the New Year. We don't drink, so each of us hugged each other and our sweet son. I did my first hour of Callanetics yesterday and all I can say is WOW! I am going to to it Saturdays and Sundays for a while. I can sure feel it today and I really enjoy Callan's methods.

We went to Olive Garden last night with our gift card and I ate as SB friendly as I could - basically I did low carb. My entree was a mixed grill, I got extra veggies instead of potatoes and it had grilled chicken and steak.

Hi -
Okay, last 2 days have been soooo bad. I've been struggling to control portions. I need to go back on SB asap. I had my first experience with pasta in awhile yesterday. I went to my sister's friend's house and they served pasta with white sauce. I ate some with dinner and I kept eying it the rest of the night. They ended up sending the leftovers home with my sister...and I ended up having 2 bowls at 2am! I really think pasta just doesn't work for me. I can eat enormous amounts of it and it's filling for a bit, but you just want more in a bit. Anyway, this is something I will cut out for good. I eat whole grain pasta once in awhile, and I'm not sure of my reaction.

Anyway, I am going to be better today! I have a party tonight, but I will not overeat!!!
