Hi Steph!
Thanks so much for getting us started this morning. I'm up for one perfect day. I'm syked mentally and physically for it. I am working on reducing my calorie intake so I've got my plan together. My goal is to eat between 1200 and 1400 calories per day down from about 2000 calories a day. I'm going to have to try that fitday program everyone is talking about. I'm drinking plenty of water and I've already got 25 minutes of exercise under my belt so far this morning with some running on the treadmill and an extreme abs class to follow. I'm ready to get to this weight off!!! Break a leg at your new job. I know you'll do well. Let's concentrate on having that one perfect day!!! ![]()

I'm back. Time to get with the program again. The leftover pie and cookies goes in the trash today. Considering going back to Phase 1. Unfortunately with 2 adult kids in the house, I can't control all the food. I have been off for about 2 weeks. Need to be 100% on before I go back to work on the 4th. Starting with one perfect day...

Hi gang
Steph you will do great today! Ok, question. Isnt phase 1 similar to atkins? I am restarting phase 1, well did yesterday. Also put back almost two pounds. Does not make sense at all. I really need some encouragment. I really was doing great only messed up on Christmas Day. But the weight is so slow in going, then up then down then up and then down. This month has been a three pound loss over all. Its just not right. Should I continue on phase one? Go low fat? what??? I just do not know. HELP It also doesnt help if you dont have what you need for the woe either. Trying to substitute sometimes doesnt do the right thing. Sorry for the rant Sheila

Shelia - I can relate to what you are posting. I've tried to go back to Phase 1 and didn't lose anything. Neither did a friend of mine that has lost 75 pounds. It was kind of discouraging. I even went 5 whole months with no lose at all! It wasn't until I stepped up my exercise and started (I know you probably don't want to hear this) counting calories that the scale starting moving again. I rebelled fairly quickly against the counting calorie thing and gained the few pounds back I lost as a result of counting calories but I'm back on the counting calorie wagon again and don't see that I have much choice if I want to get these last 15-20 pounds off.
Maybe some of the other ladies can offer you some suggestions. Perhaps if you posted a typical day's menu that might help us help you too. Please don't give up. I know it can be hard but like I said, I went 5 whole months with not a single pound lost and it was very disheartening but I'm still hanging in there and more determined now than ever! |

I understand that the closer you get to goal, it is harder to lose. I am no where near goal. It is disheartning. I was on atkins three months and did nothing but gain. So I switched to SB. It just really is sad. thanks for the help

I'm so sorry to hear this. I can tell the frustration and disappointment from your post. Please know that we are here for you. It can be so disconcerting when you know you are doing everything right and still not seeing success.

I will keep on posting. Going to try to do this for two weeks. Hopefully I will lose. If not, I am really thinking of going to low fat . I really do not want to. But I have to do something.

oh question
I got the book, it says for phase 1 sf jello, but no amount listed..does that mean I can have the whole bowl????????? LOL . I know I cant. ANYWAY>>>GOOD NEWS!! I griped all day about wieght, went and tried on some jeans today that did not fit three weeks ago. I couldnt even get them over my tummy! Well I got them on and they are loose in the waist and legs!! Yippee. That means my Callans and walking are working. Now if I can just get the scale to go down..... |

I'm so glad to hear that you are seeing progress! I know that I have had discouraging results on the scale but tried on my "too tight" jeans and they seem to fit better and better every week. During my 5 month period where I lost no weight people were constantly saying how much smaller I looked and how much weight I was still losing. It was pretty funny. Anyway, congrats on those lose fitting clothes! About the sf jello, I usually would consider a serving one of the little cups that is premade considering we are only allowed 75 dessert calories per day. But if I'm not mistaken, those premade cups may only have 10 or 20 calories a piece. I'm not a big fan of the sf jello so I can't recall right now. Enjoy your dessert!! I'm sipping on a cup of no sugar added hot chocolate made with skim milk. Yummy!

I have a dress that I am using as one of my weight loss gauges. I plan to wear it on my cruise in April. I am pretty sure that if I had someone to help me with the zipper I could have gotten it zipped up. Now, it would have been tight across the chest, but I think it would have zipped. The last time I tried it on it was no where near being zippable.
I have been eating pretty healthy meals this week, but have too many baked goodies around. They are almost gone though and next week it is back to P1 for me.
