No reason to feel like a failure today

Let's face it.....we love to eat. If we didnt, we wouldnt need to diet

For many of us, we celebrate Christmas with family and friends yesterday. And....we may have had a few too many nibbles.

I had a great plan all in place. I had plenty of SBD friendly foods. Did I stray to non-friendly foods?......sure I did. But I made the effort. I could have done much worse. The cheesecake was worth every sinful calorie.

Today....it's P1 for me.

Anyone want to join me?

We're human. Let's not beat ourselves up over it.

I can't go back to P1 until Jan 2. I am going to do my best to eat on program when possible, but I still have some get togethers between now and next week. I'll be joining you ladies on P1 then. I have a date on New Year's Eve and he is taking me to a nice Italian restaurant . I don't feel bad about anything I have eaten. It's about celebration. I have not pigged out like I have in the past though and I did tell my mom to go easy on the Christmas candy this year.

Me too! I actually did pretty well yesterday and did more Phase 2 than Phase 1, but didn't overeat at all.

Absolutely right, Reg. One more day here, then back to Phase 1 Tues. Like the good Dr. says, It's ok to fall off, if you get right back on.

I ate illegally yesterday in the snack area, phase 2 foods for dinner. I woke this morning with a loss in weight, which is unbelievable. BUT I still did Phase 1 today and will do so for the next two weeks.. Got to get some groceries though...weight this morning 171.8 from yesterdays, 172.2!!

Hi Reg,

Boy can I so relate to everything you posted. I'm telling you guys that I have been on a feeding frenzy since November 1. I believe I have finally figured out my problem (crossing fingers). What I need to do is concentrate on calories. I eat way way too much, period. I'm restricting my calories to between 1200 and 1400 which is down from where I was eating which was between 1800 and 2200 calories per day. I'm not focusing on any phase right now (eating clean though, no sugar and no refined flour) but not obsessing over whether I am eating whole grains or fruit with every meal. This is an experiment for me and I'll see if it can get me back on track. If not, then it's definitely back to Phase 1 for me next week.

In any event, I'm making some changes, here and today. So I'd like to join you and will report in with how my reduced calorie thang is working for me.

ok went to phase 1 yesterday, woke up 1.4 pounds heavier. I really hate this.

I know what you mean. The scale has been slowly creaping up for me for the past 7 weeks. I've got to get this under control now before I do some real damage! Take heart though, Phase 1 should help you get that pound off quickly!
