Morning all! I am down another 1/2 pound! Woo hoo! 7 pounds to go til my Christmas goal. It should be close. As long as I lose at least 3 more and get to onderland by Christmas Eve, I will be happy! 20 pounds to go til my bigger goal, but I want to lose a little more than that before my cruise in April.

Up the pound I lost yesterday. Been two weeks now, lose two, and find it again. Don't know what's up with that.
Any of you south beachers do the meat/egg fast then return to the SBplan and succeed? I need to do something. Most people lose 8-10 pounds per month. I have only lost 13 in three months. I know, some of you say, I would love to lose 13 in three months. BUT it is getting fustrating. This is why I came to SB because I wasn't losing on Atkins, but gaining. I seem to be in the same mode again. I get to a certain point and start back gaining , eating the same as before. Well I will cut out my whole grain rice I guess. Only had it twice, and only 1/2 c. I can't go and buy light half and half without fear of pounds gained. I want to make mock mashed taters... I am done ranting now. Thanks for being here.

have you tried working with calorie counting/portion control? I know that neither requires this, but calories do count. I won't lose weight on either if I don't count calories. It's not that I don't let myself eat whenever I'm hungry, I just really watch my portion sizes. I stopped losing on Atkins at one point and started calories and lost again. Then I figured, if i have to count calories, what's the point of restricting carbs so much. So then I tried just counting calories - not low carb. I did well at first, but then I started having bad cravings for sweets. Finally, I went on SB, although I still count calories, the low glycemic level of my foods keep my blood sugar in check.

Sorry if I'm not helping...these are just suggestions. I know how frustrating it can be.

yep..not so much calories, but am doing portion control. Have been for a while. Doing even smaller amounts starting today, and I am hungry so I do not know what to do.

Had oatmeal today, one srvg made with water, two slices of t. bacon. real crisp in the microwave

yogurt for snack

hot tea and that is it so far today..

Good morning Chris, Liz, Shiela and Anj and all who follow!

Woohoo Liz on dropping those pounds and all of us who are working on it.

Love your palm tree too Liz, for some reason my settings don't let me save a gif or animation unless it's into stationery, it always ends up just save as a picture, wonder what I need to do to change that?

Sheila and anj, I know your frustration but we're still doing good. Maybe we need to build our plates around like one protein, 2 veggies or a veggie-fruit-grain. I also need to work on having a small snack with a veggie. I think we'll get back in the swing of things but definitely don't go hungry, that's the worst.

Sorry I didn't get back in yesterday, dd2 came up and it was beauty shop day and then we bought a few groceries and ate out and drove around looking at Christmas lights and I was late late getting in. We did pretty good, shared a 3 bite dessert and it was more than enough, yuk. I just can't allow myself to over stress or over do, this year I want to start the year off weighing less that last year. She wants us to work on staying legal all week then having one weekly optional meal so we'll see how that goes.

This afternoon I'm going out of town with DDIL and DGS to a drive through "festival of lights" which is suppose to be awesome. I'm excited about that. Seems like I'm staying on the go but it's fun.

where is your festival of lights? My dh and me are going to Ariton AL to a place simialar. Has a little town in the middle, like an old fashion enlish town, with coffee shoppes and stores to shop in, hayrides, and artifical snow. Thats how it was two yrs ago. They changed hands this yr, was closed last yr.

Hello Beach Babes !! How is everyone doing? Good I hope.

I'm still having a hard time sticking to plan. All these holiday gatherings are killing me. I make a plan, follow it, then blow it. This is very frustrating.

Christmas is 2 weeks away and I HAVE to do something.....QUICK. I know I say time and time again that I can't do P1 again, but I dont think I have a choice. I have to take it one day at a time. It's not an option for me to say "I'll start P1 on 01/01/06".....that's just an excuse. I have to start now.

I'm disappointed in myself.....my clothes are tight and I refuse to buy anything bigger. I have 1 pair of jean that fit Bad, bad, bad.

Hi all -
My day was okay as far as calories - awful as far as SB...

I had this cookie and then I had a cranberry bliss bar from starbucks. I'm usually good at not getting stuff from coffee shops where I study, but tonight was a struggle. I just want to be done with exams! I'm studying for one more hour tonight and then I'm going to bed!
