Good morning all. I have a bad cold. I have been eating and drinking lots and of course not working out. The good news is that I am down another pound . I guess that is my body working hard to get rid of the germs. Plus, TOM still hasn't started yet, so I should lose a couple more after that. I may meet my Christmas goal after all. I should definitely come close.

Have a good day!

Elizabeth, sorry you have a cold...that stinks! Next time you feel a cold coming on, get yourself some Zicam! I swear that stuff is amazing! It knocked mine out in a day and a half! My husband has used it for a couple of years, but I just figured it was a gimmick until I tried it. If you're not too far into this cold, you could still give it a try!

Morning beachers,

Chris, I'm glad things are going well with you and Liz, hope you feel better soon! Woohoo on meeting Christmas goal, I think you can do it!

Things are fine with me. I'm really working on getting in more vegetables. I find sometimes I tend to not do that.

Sharon, hope you're feeling better!

Hi too those who follow, let's have a good one!

Good morning all!

It's been a busy last couple of days but I've been thinking of you guys and hoping everyone is doing well.

I know there is a Christmas challenge going on but I was wondering if when it's over if anyone would be interested in a new challenge as we start off 2006. I'm sure we'll be getting some new ones join us after holiday gourging (not that any of us will be doing that - right ladies?). Anyway, I know that I have complicated my life and this eating program and want to get back to basics. Losing weight used to seem almost effortless to me and somewhere along the lines it got all mixed up and complicated on me. I want to get these last 15 pounds off. I might even make it 20 pounds. There is no reason I can't get down to 155 pounds and maintain between 155 and 160. The only thing stopping me from achieving my weight loss goal is me!

I was thinking of calling the 2006 challenge the "GET YOUR KIX IN 2006". We each deserve to reach our goal this coming year. I don't want to be posting this time next year that I "still have 5 or 10 pounds" to lose. I'm sure none of you want to be posting something similar this time next year. We can do this ladies. We really can. I was thinking that we could each pick 5 areas that we want to focus on to get to our goal - things like starting or stepping up a work out routine; drinking a certain number of ounces of water; limiting whole grains; not eating after a certain time of night, etc. So if any of you are interested in being part of the first challenge of 2006, just let me know!

Chris - thanks for getting us started today!

Elizabeth - so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Good job on losing that pound though!

Marva - you must be reading my mind. One of the top 5 things I'm working on in 2006, actually the number one thing, is to eat more veggies. I'm going to also give up red meat and basically eat just chicken and fish. I have a young friend who is doing SBD veggie style and he looks absolutely fantastic. Yes he is 18 and I'm more than twice his age so I can't expect his results but his skin looks so clear and he has slimmed down about 100 pounds. I want goal so I'm going to give it a try. Have a good day sweetie!!

Hi to all that follow!!!!

Hi Lisa, I always miss you when you aren't here...

Sure, I'm always up for a challenge, I'll join in with you! I still intend to get to goal even though I'm having some maintenance right now . The O challenge was awesome for me last year.

Hi gang..sure I will join the challenge. I want to keep losing of course, and I love my veggies. I do eat red meat, but not often. My goal would to increase my water and keep up the exercising. Thanks for being here.
