Exercise Thread for the Weekend of 12/2-12/4

Good morning everyone!

I'm in such a good mood today! I know it won't last but I'm going to revel in it while it does last. Late this morning I'm going to a weight lifting class followed by extreme abs. I'm getting a little stronger each week and will be using 10 and 12 pound weights for my heavy lifting. It may not seem like much but I remember a time when 8 pound weights were too heavy for me to do my reps and now they seem light!

I hope to get in that 7 mile bike ride tonight. Hubby and I did a little shopping last night and didn't get home until late so I didn't get a chance to get in that extra bike ride but I'm going to try for it tonight.

Saturday and Sunday are my rest days but I might get in a Cathe Friedrich body fusion work out on Sunday or at least a bike ride. Nothing too ambitious.

What's on the agenda for everyone else? I just love hearing what you all have going on - it keeps me motivated.

Wow Lisa, you are doing awesome, glad your day was good.

I finished yesterday out good, had the 30 min morning treadmill walk, then 45 min at the gym, then 30 more min with dd2 last night and ended up with 15,587 steps or 6.23 miles.

I ran 3 miles today. Better than nothing...I got to the gym late and didn’t have time to do more. They close now at 3pm on weekends, so it makes it hard.

Tomorrow I agreed to go with my friend to her gym. I guess there is an hour long "absolution" class - I can't imagine doing abs for an hour. It actually seems really excessive, but I'm going to try it out. After that there is a 1/2 hour step class and a 1/2 hour weight lifting class. I've never done step before - I'm not much into aerobics classes - I'm incredibly uncoordinated. I'm not excited about any of this, but I told my friend I would go. I guess it will be a good change of pace...but an hour of abs - I can't see myself being able to do that much. Plus, I would never spend an hour on any other body part, so it seems crazy to do it for abs. Okay, I'll stop complaining. I'll tell you guys how it went tomorrow.

Sorry about my long rant yesterday. I ended up ditching my friend. I'm just too busy to spend an hour on my abs. 15 mins is max for me.

Anyway, I ran 3.5 miles today.
