*♥*Thursday Check In - Dec. 1st*♥*

Morning Friends !!

WOW !! I can't believe it's December already.

I almost cheated last night, but some how managed to stay legal.

Looking back at Decembers past depresses me to no end. I am 10 lbs heavier than Dec 2004, and 20 lbs heavier than Dec 2003. I am so disappointed in myself.

Thanks for being my friends and helping me stay focused.

I'll be out most of the day (outlet shopping ) to try and finish my Christmas shopping.

Hope everyone has a super LEGAL day !!

Hi Reg and everyone else!

I'm so sorry I haven't been around lately. Boy have I had a lot going on and not too much of a positive nature unfortunately. I started out the month of November really strong and at my lowest weight but here I am a month later and I'm up 7 pounds! Ugh!! I had a health scare that I used as an excuse to eat real sloppy. Not exactly illegal stuff just way way too much of a good thing. Sugar free candies and cookies and such, plus since I haven't been feeling well my exercise routine is off.

The good news is that I'm back! I am healthy both mentally and physically and ready to get to goal baby!!! I'm committed to getting these 7 pounds off that I've gained and then getting to 155-160 pounds. I've got a great energy express cardio class and then an extreme abs class after that scheduled for early this afternoon. It feels good to get back to my regular routine. Yes, I'm still struggling and it will probably take a few days to feel 100% but I'm getting there!!

My other bit of good news is that today marks 2 years since I started on my journey and I've maintained a 100+ pound loss for a year! Yay!! I'm very proud of myself for this and want to focus on the positives I have going on right now and not the fact that I thought I would be at goal already. It will happen if I get and stay committed. Thanks to each of you for being here for me, even when I can't post the way I want to, I know you are all here persevering and that makes me feel so much better knowing I'm not doing this alone!

Reg - Great job hon on resisting the temptation. My weight is up from where I was just 1 month ago so I can relate to how you feel about being up a few pounds. We will get this weight off though. There is no other alternative that is acceptable. So let's get our booties moving! {{{hugs}}}

Hi to everyone else. I am going to make a commitment to myself to be around the boards more. I remember when I was the most successful was when I hung around and posted a lot to stay focused so no matter how crazy my days and nights are, I need to be here and here is where I will be!

Good Morning Beachers!

Hi Reg! Thanks for starting us off! I am proud of your efforts yesterday! Good job! Now, instead of focusing on the past and making yourself crazy, let's both focus on the future! By next Christmas, we'll both be at GOAL!! Deal?? Remember to pack a snack or two in case the "hungries" attack while you're shopping! Have fun!

I had a good day yesterday, also. I am really concentrating on my portions and cutting back to one fruit & grain for a few days. I think I was getting too much of both for where I am in my weight loss journey. I'll give it a while and start SLOWLY adding in another portion of both in a couple of weeks!

My FBS was 116 this am, so I need to work on that as well. Portions seem to be a big part of that too!

I am just getting ready to log into work, so I'll try to get back later! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Lisa, we must have posted at the same time! GREAT to see you back!!

Hi Chris!

I nkow what you mean about the portions. Boy do I have to watch it. My eyes are bigger than my stomach but for some reason I always want to clean my plate. I don't like wasting food so I definitely need to start off with smaller portions. I'm going to switch from big dinner plates to saucer sized plates and see if that helps. I'm also trying to make my bigger meals of the day earlier, like a nice breakfast, a modest lunch and then a light dinner trying to cut out the grains at dinner time and maybe have a big salad instead. My problem is always dinner, eating late and then wanting a big (sugar free of course) dessert. I will eat sugar free cookies or ice cream and that's way over the 75 or so calories for dessert we are supposed to have.

I wish us all well as we try to pair down how much we eat. It sure can be hard when portion sizes just seem to creeps up on you!

Good Morning, all.

Reg - There is an old proverb that says, "Look forward with anticipation and backward with no regrets." Don't worry about Decembers past. Just look to the future .

I cheated yesterday. They finally celebrated my birthday at work. I think I screwed up their plans. There are two of us with late November birthdays. I think they planned to do it the day before Thanksgiving, but I was off, so they had a party for Travis. Fortunately, they didn't have a big spread yesterday, just cake (and it was really good). I ate some cake, but did great the rest of the day and lost a pound anyway! Woo hoo!

Have a great day everyone!

I'm down 1.5 today. I was shocked b/c I was up like 6 pounds (water weight) a couple of days ago.

I'm really close to meeting my Christmas goal of 163!!

Good morning Reg, Chris, Elizabeth and anj (yah on the weight loss) and glad to see you back Lisa!

I'm with you guys on the portion control. I began using WW flex points again yesterday to help with that.

I didn't have time to post my day yesterday, I got so busy. DD2 and I bought veggies for the week and we spent the afternoon and last night preparing, steaming and roasting them. We also went to the gym, what fun.

Sheila, I read on yesterday's post you Mom got to come home, that's great news!

Hi to all who follow!

Let's have a great day!

Yay, Lisa! Welcome back! I want you to know you truly are an inspiration to me. The fact that every time I left and came back you were here...still trucking along and kicking that weight in the butt. You are doing so awesome. It's great to see you back. See? You come back much quicker after a binge. LOL It takes me several months and at least 30 pounds before I come back.

Time to go decorate the tree. I also need to clean the house.
