*♥*TGIF! Friday Check In - Nov. 11*♥*

Happy Veterans Day Everyone! Time to remember all those who have done (and are doing) so much for our country!

Getting the thread started early again. I am in a meeting all day Friday. So I probably won't be back until late.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!

Goodmorning everyone. I am coming to the end of week 2 of SB. After doing Atkins for so long, it has been a real treat not to have to track my carbs. I miss the high fats, not having them has left me feeling hungry at times, but not for long since I can have so many other things. This morning tho, I have smiled at seeing 4.2 lbs gone in these 12 days. At first it seemed like so little compared to the rapid way I lost in the beginning on A, but then I didn't stick to it very well because it was so limited. Also, I hadn't lost in a very long time because I would have a bite of this or a bite of that which led to more. I want to think this time and this way I'll will do a better job.

This week, I must commit to adding back the exercise I dropped. My failure to do so was blamed on working 12 hour shifts at the hospital and being so exhausted when I get home. Surely I can find the time to do 20 to 30 minutes three days this week. It is so much easier when you are seeing results, right?

Goals this week: Stay on plan and exercise at least 3 days!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day on the beach!

Good morning all. I am down 1/2 a pound today, even with TOM here and I had some pasta at lunch yesterday. My goal is to stay on program this weekend, with the exception of a small piece of my dad's b-day cake.

Have a great day!

Morning gals !! How is everyone today? Good I hope.

Busy day today.....the kids are off from school and I'm going to drop them off at my folks so I can hit the gym and have some quiet time to myself.

My goal for today and the weekend is to NOT have a glass of wine at the neighbors (if we are invited)....I'll just bring a can of diet soda and be happy.

Chris ....THanks for getting us started today.

HI

Up a pound - ate horribly all day yesterday, dang TOM - it's like I have no control....but we'll get it back down soon enough. Fat Flush here I come, especially once I get the books.

Renee,
I have the Fat Flush Plan and the One Day Diet Detox by Ann Gittleman. I may give her fast a try. I have fasted before and felt great, but that's when I didn't have any weight to lose.

Good Morning Everyone,
I went to see my doc yesterday and she gave me all of next week off with my back. I haven't been at work since this last Monday, but oh well. I am looking for another job and went on a second interview yesterday for a payroll assistant in a construction company. I can wear jeans to work if I want, but we'll see. My husband thinks I'll get the job, but we'll see. I sure hope so. Regardless of what happens, it's time for me to move on from Wells Fargo. I just can't do the loan processing for them anymore - there's too much insanity. My son had yesterday and today off from school, so we're going out with my mother-in-law today. Today is another re-start day for me being on the beach.
Have a great day everyone.

Hi to all!

Thanks Chris, I'm thankful for all the men and women have done and are doing for our freedom too.

Good going pir8luvr, , Enjoy being with your Dad, today would have been my Dad's birthday too.

I'm glad you're doing so good ska, yah on the lbs down!

Reg, hope you enjoy your down time, you deserve it!

Renee, I have that book but haven't ever really investigated the theory of it all, looking forward to hearing what you guys report.

Steph, I hope you are finding some relief for your back pain and good luck with your work decisions.

I really enjoyed the yoga class last night but have lots too learn. I learned how to do a mean 'dead bug'.

Hope everyone has a good one and hi to all who follow!

Hi all -

Things are going okay here. I have major PMS so the last couple of days haven't been great days of eating, but they haven't been awful either.

I asked this in the Apple Cider Vinegar thread, but I didn;t see any reponses. Is anybody still doing that? I started it a couple days ago because I think I need to cleanse my liver. I've been having major acne problems so I'm trying to figure out what is wrong. I know people were taking it for weight loss, did it work?

Also, I just brought some cocunut oil and am wondering if anyone else uses this and if it helps them with anything. I know it's not particularly SB friendly as it is saturated fat, but I'm not too worried. Anyway, if anyone uses it, do you have any good suggestions for eating it? It smells delicious and has a decent taste, but I can;t think if anything - given it;s solid consistency.

My answer to your question about ACV is when I tried it it seemed to make me feel less hungry. I had a tendency to over do it though and broke out in hives. So now I'm not using more than once in a while because I happen to like the taste.

Anj, I did the acv too for a few days but my stomach got acidity so I had to quit drinking it. As for the coconut oil, I've done it and really enjoyed using it. I used 1 T in my coffee midmorning and thought it helped but dropped it due to the sat fats and additional high calorie count. I used less OO to compensate and felt that wasn't a good idea.

Are you taking anything like CLA that might be causing your problems?

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
