Exercise Thread for October 28-30 (weekend thread)

Good morning everyone!

I'm so ready for this weekend to begin! Tomorrow my sisters and I are doing a diabetes walk. My 7 year old niece was recently diagnosed with Type 1 so I want to show my support. It's supposed to be a little warmer than it's been so I'm hoping the forecast is correct.

This morning I was up early for a 30 minute cardio video called Fat Blasting Cardio. I really worked it this morning because I doubt I'll be able to get a second work out in today. I've got a hair appointment right after work and once I get to the salon, I know I won't get home until after 9:30 then it's up early for the Diabetes walk on Saturday.

Saturday is the walk at 8:30 and Sunday I'll do Cathe Friedrich's 50 minute body work out.

Those are my weekend work out plans. What about yours? We wanna hear from you!

Good morning Lisa! Thanks for staring us up again, kuddos on the diabetes walk!

Sheila, you're doing great too and Chris, yah on the exercising. Jacque, Pir8luvr, guiltydragonfly and Stephanie!

I'm still keeping our South Beachers Walk Across America going so anyone that wants to join in or begin tracking again, put on your pedometer and come on in. The site is www.steptrackers.com. Our club is called South Beachers and the password is SBD.

It's easy and free to join and once you are logged into steptracker you click on clubs:

Go to join a club
And put in the info above

Each day (or whenever you get around to it if you are writing it down somewhere) you log your steps and it will show all of us sort of competing against one another but also working as a group to get across America and see how long it takes us. Jessica (WaterMelonMist) had joined in as as "SB Totals" so you will see that name and she was keeping a total of team steps. I don't have the password, maybe she will chime in and give it to us or join back in. If not, we can get another name and use that to count our total club steps. It was lots of fun when everyone was walking.......and it's very motivational.

I didn't report that I walked my 30 min on the treadmill yesterday and I'm off to get it in today....hope to see you guys on the site logging steps with me!

Exercise is the great for maintenance!

ETA: I've logged 975,484 steps since June.

Thanks Lisa, it adds up and keeps me motivated seeing the totals!

Yah Sharon for posting steps on the website! Thanks goodness both sites are up now. I also log mine in on firststeptracker.com in case one goes down like before. I'll see if I can find the lingo for joining in on the south beachers club there too! Several of us are members there also.

ETA: info on secondary step tracker site....... It is www.firststeptracker.com and the club name is South Beachers with the password: beach


I'm reporting 30 min yesterday and 30 min so far today on the treadmill.

That's just great Marva! I'm now step tracking on both site now too. Good idea to have a back up just in case.

I did my hour treadmill for a 2 mi. walk and still wearing ped for the rest of the day. Hope you all are having a great exercising day!

Yah! Now if Jessica will check in and join back in or give us the password to sbtotals on both sites, we're in business, if not, you and everyone can give me your totals ending Oct. 31st and I'll create another totals and we'll see how far we are across the US of A. Calling Jessica!!!

I'm going to try for another 2 mi. on treadmill today. Going to take it in two 30 min. sessions. Have fun exercising today. Be back to let you know if I made my daily goal.

I completed my 2 mi treadmill time. That was an hour for me split in two. Still feel pretty good without any knee discomfort. I may not be able to do it daily but will try for 3 times a week and 30 min. the rest of the time.

Great Sharon! I've set my goal for 30 min each morning (and I don't do mornings so that's a step for me). I did get my afternoon time in today, I'm over 10,000 step for the day, yah! I never knew I could do that until vacation this year.
