How to Quench Your Thirst in Phase 1
Improving your diet isn't only about the foods you eat — it's also about what you drink. During Phase 1 you'll learn to get used to avoiding drinks containing added sugar and other unhealthy fillers. The following is a list of Phase 1-approved drinks: Water One percent or nonfat milk Low-fat (4 grams of fat or less) plain, vanilla, or sucralose-containing soy milk Coffee and tea (limit caffeine-containing beverages to 1-2 servings per day) Decaffeinated coffee and tea Herbal tea without added sugars Sugar-free flavored waters, soda, iced teas, powdered drinks, etc. Club soda or seltzer Tomato or vegetable juice You should avoid the following: Fruit juices Sodas with sugar Whole or 2 percent reduced-fat milk Alcohol Flavored waters with sugar The Daily Dish

Thanks for the info, I have just started South Beach and still am a little confused by some things evern after reading the book. I wasn't sure about the milk thing. Thanks again.
