Yipee! Officially reached my Halloween goal today! Very excited, cause the whole time I was on Atkins, I never reached one goal that I set. It was always up and down. This weekend will be tough tho. My anniversary and birthday celebrations.

TOM is still here but the scale finally dropped back to what the weight in my profile displays. Hopefully I few more pounds will drop off when it's completely gone. I've noticed that the weight is coming off slower than when I did SBD before. I think it has to do with the fact that you can now have 3 servings of dairy and you can incorporate some foods that you couldn't before (bananas and carrots). But, even though the weight loss is slower, I'm finding it easier to stick to than when I tried to restart last fall and this past January. I'm less tempted to eat bad things and I think it is because SB now allows you to have more things.

Hello
Running by to say "hi" before I have to conduct an interview. This has been one of the worst selections - very few qualified candidates and then some that have the personality of a "stone." That doesn't fit well with young kids (or me). I'm at 131.5 when I hit 129.5 over the weekend, but I'm moving around better and not as uncomfortable so I'm hoping to get back on track here soon. Have a good day all, Renee |

Good morning everyone!
I'm sorry I didn't have time to stop by for a check in yesterday. I was thinking of you all though. Things are going well with me especially on the exercise and eating fronts. Yesterday at my gym they had a health fair and I had my cholesterol checked. I was really worried about my number because six months ago it was above 260 but I'm happy to report that I'm at 178 which is well within the good range! I'm so happy about that. I was really getting worried. I'm sure cutting out the sausage and eating more egg whites instead of whole eggs helps. I'm up 1/2 pound over where I was this time last week but I'm not too upset with it. I know there are daily fluxuations to our weight and more important, I'm wearing a skirt today I bought 2 weeks ago that was snug around my hips. It was actually too tight to wear but I'm proudly wearing it comfortably today!! Don't get me wrong, I want to get to my goal weight or a normal body fat percentage (which ever comes first) but I am just as interested in smaller sizes. Wouldn't it be cool if I weighed 160+ pounds but could wear 8's and 10's? Now that would be awesome!!!! Reg - thanks for getting us started. Sorry about the soggy weather where you are! It's cloudy and gloomy here but the rain is holding off. Denise - congrats on reaching your goal!!! Doesn't that just feel great? Renee - I hope your interview goes well. It is strangely hard to find good people to fill positions even though jobs seem to be few and far between so you'd think people would put their best foot forward on an interview. Pir - I know for me I had to shake things up a bit to get the scale moving. Congrats to you for being able to get it to move, even if it is not as fast as you like. Keep working hard and you'll hit onderland soon. I know I wanted to throw a party when I saw that magical 199 on the scale for the first time in my adult life!

Good Morning!
My 3 day headache is finally gone!
I'm baking some chicken breasts to make the chicken salad in the SB cookbook to have in the fridge for lunches. Tonight I'm fixing a roast with sauteed mushrooms & salad. Question: Do you all eat breakfast even when you're not hungry? It's almost 10:00 and I haven't been hungry so I haven't eaten. I was thinking maybe I should have something snacky, like celery sticks and cottage cheese? Reg - Thanks for the advice & suggestions! I really do need to start planning better. Have fun with your kids and I hope you get better weather. dmi - PIR8LUVR - Congrats on the scale going down! Renee - I'm glad you're feeling better. Lisa - Sounds like you're doing great! I think clothing size is a better indicator than weight alone. Congrats on lower cholesterol and wearing a previously snug skirt. One of the best things about losing weight for me is that my wardrobe doubles! My closet is full of things I can't wear anymore, but plan to soon! Later! If I have to think more than a few minute to "what should I eat" I'm very close to failure. I also have FF hot dogs & 96/4 burgers in the freezer. My salad is always pre cut......as is my celery. The owner of a co I used to work for always said "Fail to plan, plan to fail". He was soooooo right. As far as hunger goes.......there are times I'm not hungry, but I eat something. I try not to do the 4 hours between meals thingy w/o eating. When I'm not hungry (especially breakfast) I make the jello/yogurt mix (1c boiling water in the blender, add packet of SF jello, add 6oz plain FF yogurt, cool til set). Glad your headache is gone. Super that you got some cooking done Reg |
