Hi Reg---Water intoxification occurs from drinking an enormous amount of water at one time, not when it is spread throughout the day. It has happened in college hazing incidents, at football practice or after long distance runs when athletes have drunk 2-3 gallons at once. A healthy adult's kidneys can process 15 litres of water a day. Some time ago, I posted guidelines ( can't remember just where). The short version is 1/2 oz. per lb. of body weight, PLUS whatever you need to offset coffee, soda, exercise, climate, medications, stress, etc, etc, etc. Except for a short period of time after you take vitamins, urine should be clear. It's nearly midnight and my eyes won't focus
;hope this makes sense.Emily's Mom (who can get her size 10 jeans over her rear, but can't zip)
