Lacy ....Phase 1 is really difficult for me. I've tried a bunch of times to do it....no success. I find that if I have a piece of fruit and some 100% WW for a sandwich, I am more likely not to cheat.

So.....I would luv to shoot for a perfect day with those modifications. If I try to skip the fruit and bread, I end up eating the kids' snacks.

Thanks.

Good morning everyone!

I'm on Day 2, Week 2 of my Body for Life for Women challenge. I feel just great. My gym visit yesterday went very very well. I found out I've got 32% body fat (down from 53% or 56% - I can't remember which - when I first started). My trainer said that a healthy range for me is 22%-28% body fat so I don't have far to go. He told me that I have 120 pounds of lean muscle mass and for my short 5'1" frame that is a lot of muscle! I'm closer to my goal than I realized. When I told him the charts say I should weigh no more than 130 pounds, he just laughed. He assured me that that would be too skinny for my frame. He made me feel a lot better. So my goal is still to be about 150 pounds but if I can get my body fat in a healthy range and I'm not at 150, that is just fine with me.

I have my first official work out at the gym today at lunchtime. I'm taking a step class with another gal at my office. Tomorrow I plan on taking a kickboxing class and Friday I'll take an extreme abs class followed by some time on the treadmill. Plus I'll do my regular work outs at home. My 2 year low carb/healthy eating anniversary is coming up on December 1 and I am determined to be at my goal by then!

Reg - thanks for getting us started. I also had a problem with Phase 1 too. I'm glad I did it the first time but I don't think I want to ever have to go through it again.

Have a great day ladies. I'll check back later.

Morning Reg & Lisa! (And to all who follow)

Tuesday morning FBS 119 (I am always hoping for under 110.) We had dinner out, so there may have been some hidden carbs in what I ate, though I tried to be very careful. It'll be interesting to see if I have any cravings, etc, today...

Yesterday I noticed that my portion sizes are creeping up slightly. Still much less than before the diet, but I want to focus on that for a few days. Not goin' back to those huge meals ever again! But I have to admit that it is still sometimes hard to stop when I get that "ok, I'm full" signal, even after just a few bite!

I wish you all a wonderful day on the Beach! And thanks again for being there for me!

Confused

Yesterday I stuck to the plan better then I have in quite some time. I had quite a bit of water, no beer and I a very minor cheat - 1 mini, mini blueberry muffin (smaller than a golf ball). I also had 1 slice honey whole wheat piece of bread (all natural ingredients), but I don't consider that a cheat. So I'm up .5 pounds today.

But...I won't let it get me down, except that I have offically regained 10 pounds of the 21 I lost by March of 05.

Today,
Scrambled eggs (fried up in coconut oil)
4 sausage links
Diet Pepsi with Lime

..........Lunch is a Lean Cuisine meal.

Renee

Good morning ladies!

Nothing really fun planned for the day, same o same o. Yesterday I shopped around for a new refrigerator, haven't made up my mind yet, any suggestions? The side-by-sides aren't appealing to me for some reason?

I am working more dairy into my food plan. The ff yocheese seasoned as a dip with dill, dried minced onion and garlic is so good with celery or cucumber slices.

Hi to all who follow, hope everyone has a good one!

Hi everyone, another stressful fun day in the mortgage business so here I am again eating lunch with you!

Marvi- I just got a new Maytag french door with the freezer on the bottom, its really big and has the slide out shelves I LOVE It. I got stainless steel but you can get it in any color of course. I had a side by side and hated it after getting my feet smashed several times by flying objects coming out of the freezer!

Have a great day everyone!

I am with you Reg! I do admit though I buy the LC ww bread which doesnt taste as good but I still have a little bit of that "carb mentality" even if its healthy that I need to boot out the door... maybe in another 10 pounds.
Besides who can eat eggs without a piece of toast? ewwwwwww

I look at those this afternoon, oh man, it's about 1 inch too tall for where mine goes. I'm going to have to settle for a 21 cf looks like. I love the freezer on the bottom!
