back on SBD - I think
OK I need a little help. Over the past few years I have done Atkins, SBD, Protein Power...are you getting the idea? Lately I have been doing "my own thing" and thank goodness I haven't gained anything but I haven't lost anything either. I have decided to go back on SBD but I really don't want to do the whole induction thing. I also just started exercising again. I know you guys hate doing this but will you just check out my "usual" daily food intake and let me know how it looks.
Breakfast: high fiber bar (South Beach has some nice ones and Kashi does too) I know that bars aren't the best things to eat!! Snack: strawberries and turkey Lunch: salad w/grilled chicken low fat dressing on side Snack: string cheese/piece of fruit Dinner: chicken w/green vegi and couscous I might also eat a yogurt if hungry. So, what do you girls think?

Lisa your menu is right on target. Welcome to the Beach! Phase 1 is to remove your cravings from the wrong carbs and fats. To keep from having a stall bring in the fruit and whole grains slowly. It looks like you know what to do as your menu is top notch.

Hi, Lisa. welcome back. I understand not wanting to go back to induction. What about trying a Phase 1.5? Here's how I would weak this menu. Try a week or so of eating a "real" breakfast. Look at the sticky for ideas. You might be a little heavy on fruit for now. Try just one small serving once or twice a week at first. Be sure your grains are whole. For example, couscous is made from white flour unless the package specifically says whole wheat. What are you drinking? I don't see any beverage listed. Your basic meal plan looks healthy.
