Headache
I was just wondering if any of you ladies ever experienced severe headaches while doing the SBD? I have had a headache now for 6 days and 2 of them have been migranes. I am just wondering... This is why I have not been around. I am doing fine with my diet and I decided to the 2nd week over cause I did splurge and had an icecream cone from DQ the other day... so I chose to do the 2nd week over.

Some people do experience headaches, flu-like symptoms, etc. Some people go through a detox reaction, especially if they are cleaning up a chemical, sugar laden diet. Could there be another reason as well? For example, I used to get severe headaches at TOM, bad enough to put me in bed. Are you drinking enough water? That will help with flushing toxins. Are you withdrawing from caffeine? That can give a person horrible headaches. Let's hope the headaches clear up in another day or so.

I thought it was TOM thing but then that came and went and the headaches are still here. I was a BIG carb junkie so maybe it is just that I am having withdrawls. I sure hope it is over soon and I think I should up my water intake thanks for the advice. Wonder how long the headaches will last?

Yes! Last week I had lots of headaches, but now I am almost done with 2nd week and the headaches have subsided it seems! Hang in there! I agree with other poster, lots of water seems to help. Good luck!

Not actually Marva. I had to stop doing South Beach all together. I had a head injury in an accident in 1993 and I tend to get migranes very easy and I suppose the 2 weeks induction phase just set my headaches off. I could barely raise my head. So I need to find a LC diet I can do without it bothering my head. Any ideas?
