Ranch....real or FF

I eat plain old real ranch. Wrong I'm sure. But I "HATE" the FF ranch blech

And ya know I think about dumb things like this. But while driving tonite I thought well flavored water counts, and the SF crystal light counts so why doesn't water flavored with decaf tea COUNT???

Scary how my mind works I know. Or doesn't...however you choose to look at it.

I hate ff too, go for the real deal, in small amounts, 2 T.

Yes, they count as long as they're decaf and sf, they are unlimited beverages. Decaf tea is fine. If you're asking this in re the water challenge, I don't think anything but pure water is being counted there but all decaf, sf hydration is a good thing.

Ha ha cool cuz I personally hate plain water so I feel like for me personally tea or flavored water is an improvement in my drinking habits. Altho I am a diet coke caffeine free freak too. But I get my water in first And coming from Atkins to SB I have added back in one glass of milk a day. I was on no dairy other than the occasional cheese. I love the new Dasani strawberry and the citrus aqua fina...yum and then I add my own DaVinci's into our water. Even my little boy asks for vanilla water....LOL

I was a diet cook addict for years. When I did Atkins a year or so ago, for some reason I stopped drinking them and started craving water and it's been that way for me since, lucky me, eh? I still enjoy a diet coke ever so often but don't keep them around anymore. Who knows?

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like FF salad dressing. I have been using regular and keeping the serving size small. Sometimes I mix a little water or vinegar in them to make them go farther.

I like the flavored water too, but nothing is quite as good as a big glass of cold water, plain, with ice!

I usually get light dressings. Not quite as many calories, but still pretty tasy. Though usually I use plain olive oil - so that's obviously full fat.

For the water challenge I only count plain water.....with nothing in it.

For my salad dressing I usually just use extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and black pepper. Shake it up real good, it's pretty tasty. I love those sugar free crystal lights! I might have 1-2/week. I'm not a big soda drinker, but if I feel the need for one, I like Diet Rite. Now, water.... I LOVE!! I keep a Liter bottle with me at work (since that's where I spend the majority of my time it seems) and fill it up. I try to drink 4-5 a day. It's just so refreshing!!

The Hidden Valley brand Light Ranch dressing is quite good and a nice compromise. I also hate FF. I'm not yet on SB but plan to start soon. But the above dressing is what I used on LFL and I lost weight with great success.

I see a lot of people referring to using balsamic vinegar on salads. I learned that I LOVE red wine vinegar. I sometimes mix it with a little Splenda to cut the bite of it. I'm not sure how it would taste mixed with EVOO, but I would imagine not too bad and I'm pretty sure Canola oil is legal so that would definitely work.

I also take the Good Seasonings mix and mix them according to directions but use Red Wine Vinegar instead of regular vinegar. Very good. Admittedly, the first ingredient on those packets does say sugar. I'm not sure how much sugar I'm really getting if I only use a tablespoon of the mixed dressing, though. Again, I used it on LFL and lost very well. I know everyone has to find what works for them but I'm just throwing these out as suggestions or possible substitutions if you are tired of the same dressing (or hate fat free).

I couldn't choke down FF dressings. I was watching a program on the news that stated that you should eat fat in the dressings since it does help to get all the nutrients of the salads or absorb more of the nutrients. I will eat ranch or italian mixed that is good seasons. I do use sesame seed oil and red vinegar to mix it with or extra virgin olive oil.
