Salmon

Ok I hear this is the best food for us to eat. Needless to say its not going to work for me BLECH What is it in there that is SO good for us. Those omega 3 fatty acids? If so what other items have that in them so I can use an alternate..might even have to take them orally....in a supp.

Any advice?

I eat salmon almost every day, wild alaskan, I eat it out of the can and add it to my salad. It is considered fatty but it's a good kind of fat, you could get the same benefits from fish oil though if you don't like the salmon.

Ok so do you take the capsules or the liquid? I'd personally rather take a tsp of something than 3 pills. But not if it tastes like butt...blech. Opinions?

I take the Omega 3 (1) capsule 1000 mg once a day. I also like salmon as well but if it bothers you then take the capsules.

Oh yeh one capsule sounds better. Are there any side effects good or bad? What about a nasty taste in your mouth or fish breath????

No side effects for me. And I have never had a problem as far as fish breath or even heart burn.

Now that is discriptive! LOL! My first laugh of the day! I take the omega flax seed oil AND Fish oil concentrate that has the omega-3 fatty acids. It is good for the heart not to mention your complexion. If you do burp, it has a bad taste so I don't burp for awhile. Sorry, but the benefits are WORTH it. I swear that I have warded off wrinkles at 45 by taking those vitamins.
I hated salmon too, since most people wrap it up and put lemons on it and cook on the grill. I don't like a fishy taste. I like it better how DH does it and leaves it open and seasons it and put on foil and grill it opened up and it is still moist and not fishy tasting to me. The whooshie fairy always came to my house when I ate it. A few pounds gone quickly the next day. That is the one food that I knew the next day would feel lighter. Get the wild caught not the schooled kind. More mercury in the schooled kind.

you could do what the "optimal diet" dr. suggests for getting salmon swallow it like a pill! until you get use to it lol
