Hi Everyone! It is a beautiful day here in N. California! We are having cooler fall-like weather, and I love it!
I can't believe I am on day 12 of Phase 1! It as been an easier journey than I imagined. Of course surgery and several days with almost no food helped to stop the cravings right away! I am truly enjoying the food and the fellowship with all of you! I am gearing up for my next challenge, Saturday my Red Hat group is going to afternoon tea. Don't imagine there will be much I can eat, but I will take along some snacks and make do! Have a great day on the Beach!

Afternoon y'all!
It's been a busy morning and this is the first chance I've had to sit down and check in, LOL! I made some yummy Creamy Broccoli Soup with silken tofu and homemade soymilk. Deee-lish! Tonight we're meeting with a family to see if we will adopt their doggie. My kidlets are excited to say the least! Since we've been in NC (away from our home in another state) we've not had our animals (our neighbors adopted our animals in the other state). Tomorrow an internet friend that I've know for 5 years is coming for a face-to-face visit!! I'm thrilled! Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone is having a great day! Have been really busy so am just now getting a few minutes to sit down and check in with everyone. I am having a pretty good day. Today is day 4 on phase 1 of SBD for me and hubby. So far I've been feeling pretty satisfied with the meals we're having and haven't had any major cravings. I have had a passing thought about some food I can't have but nothing I can't just ignore so I'm really happy about that. The major thing for me have been the headaches. I've had killer ones every day except today touch wood. I'm hoping that now that my body is getting more accustomed to this way of eating that they will stay away. I really want to get back on the exercise wagon but we can't find the key to the treadmill so I guess we'll have to order one from the company. In the meantime I've tried to do a little walking outside of the house when time allowed. I have always been one of those people that doesn't take time for myself and of course on SB you have to take the time to plan what you're going to eat, prepare it and make yourself sit down and eat 3 meals a day plus snacks and I'm finding that it feels empowering to me. It is making me feel like I matter enough to take time for myself so that's a nice little surpise. Before I'd never take time for breakfast and most times no lunch and would not make myself a cup of tea, etc. just busy, busy so this is a nice change that I probably wouldn't have made on my own without SB. |

Deb, looks like you're doing great, hope the headache is soon gone. Thanks for the veggie help!
Liz, glad you're joining in and we're here for support!Tina, you're doing good too, the cravings should begin to ease up soon! Glad the pbc is helping... Mtgrl, the soup sounds so good, have fun with your friend and good luck with the doggie adoption! After my kiddos grew up I decided just to have fancytail guppies, they stay in their aquarium, love that! Chis, wow, your induction is almost over, woohoo! I know you'll do good with the red hatters....cause you can now wear purple and many more fun things , yah on the take-alongs, they'll probably want them so beware!Mel, I hope you day was perfect too.......I had a one perfeast too....I love that!Reg, hope all went good for you today! Dd2 and I had a great time, I do love it when my kiddos come to visit. We'll be keeping DGS tomorrow, no school here, guess it's an inservice day so things will be popping here beginning at 7:30. Oh my goodness, hope DDIL doesn't bring those little round things for him and DH. See you guys tomorrow! M |
