Skim Milk VS. FF Half and Half

If you dont drink black coffee what do you put in your coffee?

What are the benefits of either SM or FFH&H?

You know, I have been meaning to try FF half and half. I usually like my coffee black, but occasionally I like some Davinci's syrup and cream. It makes a great cold morning wake-up or evening treat.

I don't know which is preferable, but I do know that even though I drink ff milk, I don't like it in coffee. I think it turns it a sickly grey color...ok, so I'm nuts!

I'll be interested to hear what those who have used the FF half & half have to say.

I bought myself FF H&H this week. I drink skim too, but it would never make my coffee light enough, and adding extra made my coffee cold. I do see that there is some sugar in there....but I'm not using that much.

I'll measure tomorrow I dont think I'm using too much

The ff half & half seems to be an ok thing as far as Dr. A says but when I looked on the lable for the one at Trader Joe's it had sugar up front in the ingredients. So I us 1% milk when I want a change from black. The 1% doesn't make the coffee grey. You get a little richer flavor and the color is right. If I didn't have the diabetis 2 problem I would probably use the ff half & half but the sugar scared me. LOL

Does the Land'oLakes ff half and half have sugar in it too? What about ff evaporated or dry powdered milk, wouldn't that work? I drink mine black but there are times when a smoother, richer version of milk is better.

Land O Lakes has sugar AND corn syrup solids added, artificial flavor and color.
We drink French Market coffee ( I really like the decaf version better than the regular) and serve it French Market style-- half coffee and half hot milk. It's delicious. Has anyone else ever tried coffee this way? Unfortunately, we have to leave off the beignets.
