Good morning Beach Babes,

I hope everyone had a great night. I managed to have another "one perfect day". This is so exciting. I'm weigh free, ice cream free and once the kitchen closes before 8:00 it doesn't open again! I'm especially proud of myself because I had a particularly stressful night (stuff with my son) and normally after all is said and done, I would have gone straight for comfort food but I didn't. I kept my focus all evening on the "treat" I was going to give myself - a nice hot steamy bubble bath with some good reading. It was heavenly, even though it was cut short by an unexpected phone call from one of my sisters. I am so happy I have you ladies to inspire me to get it together. You all help me to see that I don't have to be a victim of my circumstances or a product of my environment. I know we don't know each other personally, but I consider you all to be such an important part of my life. Thanks for being here for me!

Reg - thanks for getting us started and sharing those very inspiring words of wisdom with us. How many times have we heard it's not the destination but the journey that matters? Sometimes I'm in such a hurry to get to a size 8 that I'm not enjoying shrinking out of my size 12s and fitting into my size 10's. It's like all I can see sometimes is that I am still 170+ pounds with lots of saggy baggy flesh and there is no savoring of the fact that I have lost over 100 pounds and am getting very muscular! I think I should give myself a break and we should all be a little gentler with ourselves on this journey.

Have a great Wednesday ladies and as Sharon would say, "keep it Beachy"!

Hi!!! Hope everyone is well!! Eating my oatmeal! I have not been to the gym at all last week or this week so far I hope to make it later. I have been so tired and stressed so no time for myself. I still have stayed on plan in spite of the above. Here is to a great day!

Happy Hump Day to All!

I've been MIA for a day and a half. My girlfriend and her DH from Colorado are here visitng at the end of their vacation. They'll be leaving around noon today, but it has been a blast having them here!

I have managed to stay on plan with the extra cooking, and we even went out to dinner last night! I had a delicious salmon dish, half of which I brought home! I am really amazed at how quickly I am able to feel full if I concentrate on enjoying each bite... (Marvi's tips have helped me immensely there, BTW! Thanks!)

FBS was 100 this am, so I'm happy about that! Only thing I can say I slacked on for the last two days was my water...probably only got about 80 oz. in. So my goal for today is to get back to my usual 112.

Reg: Another great inspiration! Thanks.
Lisa: What a great job choosing a non-food reward! That'll be another challenge for me...
anadday: Congrats on losing that Las Vegas weight!
collrob: I can't wait to get to Phase 2 so I can join you in the morning oatmeal tradition. Funny, it's one of the things I missed most on Atkins!

Hi to all who follow

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning ladies!

Thanks so much Reg, you are so on target. We are so fortunate to have this forum and each other. Money can't buy this kind of support and friendship, I trust all of you with my deepest thoughts concerning the one thing that's hardest to discuss with others, my personal weight. It's so nice to know we can get support and kind words on good days and also a pick-me-up, dust-me-off on those days we fall off the wagon and get run over by the wheels! Thanks also for taking starting us up!

Lisa, girl, you are doing awesome! Talking about working the program and staying focused, woohoo. Yah on the perfect day!

Dana, it's so good to see our happy new bride posting and yah on losing the 5 lbs.

Hi Colleen, you're doing awesome! I missed you not being here!

Chris, I missed you yesterday, glad you are enjoying your company and woohoo on your eating out choices! You are one of our new SBD sheros! Thanks, I just don't want them to get lost as they help me too, daily.

I'm also glad to see Anj back and Ally too, was also glad to see u-woman update us yesterday! I miss so many of you guys out there!

Well, I slept late this morning which is suppose to be a blessing for old folks but it sure screws up the day. Dh is playing golf so the TV being OFF is pleasant, . I'm planning on a One Perfect Day and getting some walking in......guess I'm off to do a little right now.

Love you guys,

Marva

*I accidentally posted this on Tuesday so I am re-posting this here, sorry* Just checking in. I am trying to take an easy today my belly has been bothering me I think I have been over doing it around here. I know I was not supposed to vaccum but oh well. I am hanging in on day 3 now. Yesterday was sort of rough cause I was having withdrawls I suppose. The ricotta cheese dessert helped there... oh and I don't know if any of you have tried this or not, but I did not have ricotta cheese I substituted cottage cheese in its place and it was pretty good! Just thought I would share that tid bit. Have a good day everyone!

Reg: Thanks for the pep talk, I know I could use it today after yesterday!

Lisa: You keep up the great work. Gaining muscle is wonderful and soon the flab will be gone just like your 100 lbs!!!

Dana Congrats on your 5lbs loss! You go girl!

Collrob: Can't wait til my phase one is done to have some oatmeal!

Chris: Good for you on staying on the plan with extra cooking and all. Keep up the great work!

Marvi: Yes you are so right. Having this forum is very nice and FREE!! Can't wait to get to know everyone better!

Moutaingirl: That is great about your blood sugars doing better! Keep up the great effort and they'll keep coming down!!

And to those who post later have a wonderful day!

Good going on the chocolate Tina, hope you are feeling better!

Hello all!

Just sitting around here before dinner and have been drifting in and out of my nap. It has been one busy week, but a fast one at that. I'm hoping to go camping this weekend since it is supposed to be great weather here.

In my weigh in this morning, I was a pound lighter than I was yesterday morning. I love that the scale keeps staying the same or dropping! Will try to check back in again later if I don't get too caught up in working at home.
