Thanks for getting our water thread started Reg! I did okay yesterday with my water intake. I took Marva's advice and drank and drank and drank in the evening when I would normally want an ice cream snack. I managed to get in another 36 ounces of water last night so that's good.
I'm off to get my first mug of water now. Happy guzzling everyone! |

on the sign Reg.....thanks for the startup!Lisa, I don't think I could stay within the curfew without sf gum and water, I'm reporting my yesterday's total.....112 oz. 8 oz so far of pure water, I'm still on coffee this morning. |

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday was my first day on SB so I found it hard to get the water down but managed to drink 64 oz during the day yesterday and then I probably drank maybe another 8 ounces during the night. Today so far I've had 16 oz and am working on my next 16 oz. glass right now. |

Thoughts for those who don't read tip of the day.
Water At Mealtime. Drink, drink, drink it......except at mealtime. Instead precede every meal, even breakfast with water. Research suggests that drinking a large glass of cold water 15 - 30 minutes before a meal tends to reduce hunger, and as a result, you eat less. Drink it before, in between meals but not while you eat. Limit your mealtime beverage to 1/2 to 1 cup in sips, not gulps. Some think drinking with meals slows them down but it actually allows you to eat faster and and consume larger quantities of food than you otherwise would. Without water or a big glass of tea, we eat more slowly, chew the food better, enjoy the meal more and eat a lot less than before. Try it and see if you don't eat much less when your meal isn't accompanied by a large cold beverage. Protein Power |

I'm checking in for one last time on Tuesday thread. First off, I'm jealous of all the water smilies. I want one!
Second, I agree with Emily, we do all seem to be off on our water consumption. I drank another 32 ounces on Tuesday for a grand whopping total of 48 ounces. Ugh! I gotta do better than this! I think it's great that we are all more water conscious so I consider our water thread to be a great big success! Marva - the water and gum in the evening is saving me! Thanks a bunch again for the tip!!!!
