Wow, what a difference on SBD
I posted a week ago about not being able to lose anymore weight on Atkins. I started on it on July 19th and lost almost 8 pounds and then nothing for the last 4 weeks. (stuck at 157.2) I switched over to SBD on the 4th of Sept and I have gone from 157.2 down to 153.0 in less than a week. What is so different between the two plans to cause me to finally lose again. Have I just shocked my body enough that this is what I needed to break that plateau or could it be because I have gone from 3 slices of bacon a day down to none and instead eat 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 2 eggs for breakfast? I have upped my carbs and protein on this woe and lowered my fat and calories...by almost half. Can anyone enlighten me on how our bodies work...boy, I sure hope this isn't temporary...I love it

I am not sure on the science of our bodies. But I am a firm believer that everyones body is not the same. Some diets work for some when for others it doesn't.
One thing could be because you have changed your diet and it is new to your body. I have read places where when they hit a plataue the add more carbs or do a fast or change there plan to kick stqrt there diet again. I hope SBD works out for you. Good luck!!! Denise |

______________ you lose a lot at first on atkins and then you hit the stall. I did manage to lose from 201 down to 122 in six months but do weigh 115lbs. I tweaked it and when I stalled and not a popular view, I ate more carbs for a few days then back down on the stage that I was on. Not popular since it can introduce cravings and you feel kind of bad with bloatness or stomach aches putting that stuff you got out of there back into your system? I refuse to eat sugar to break that stall nor now. I have no idea why it worked for me? Like shocking the body or your body gets used to something? I am following this plan more now. I got so sick of eggs and bacon and wouldn't touch it but would eat a salad for breakfast with some protein in it. Who said you could only eat breakfast type of foods? I would eat leftovers from dinner for breakfast too. I hate eggs and I hate bacon! Just the smell of that would make me gag! the doctor told me about south beach. Janet |
