*♥*TGIF check in*♥* 9/9

Hi beach babes,

Can it be Friday again already?

to our new SBDer's, good luck and we're here for support and friendship, jump right in.

I missed being around this afternoon and tonight. I had errands to run during the afternoon and we had a function to attend tonight, dh received an honorary pin and certificate and that was nice. They served sandwiches, cake, etc. before the meeting, woohoo, I asked him if we could bypass the table and just get coffee and we did. After it was over, we went to our favorite mexican dive as I can eat legal there.

A special thank you to Margy for helping with the Katrina orphaned pets.

I know we've all be distressed and heartbroken for those suffering and displaced. Still saying for all and a special thanks for all who are helping.

I hope everyone has a one perfect Friday, check in and say hi if you can! Even if it can't be perfect, maybe we can make it better than yesterday.

Morning Y'all!

I am recovering from the bone marrow biopsy and doing just fine. I am just sore now, the worst is over. I'll get my results in about a week, but the prelim looked good! Yippeeee!

I wasn't eating too well the past few days, and I was on pain pills, BUT, today I'm back on the wagon, Phase 1!

Have a great day!

Good morning Beach Babes!

I'm so glad it's Friday. It's seemed like such a long week. I am hoping to do some major house cleaning this weekend and then just relaxing Saturday afternoon. What does everyone else have planned for the weekend?

Marva - Hi sweetie! You did so well at that party - good for you for passing up the bad carbs. Thanks too for supporting us on the back to basics thread. I appreciate all your kind words of encouragement.

MountainGirl - glad to hear you are recovering well from your biopsy. I admire your positive spirit. I hope you get some good news when your test results come back.

I am thinking about making today my last day at Phase 1. I really haven't lost any weight this week. I'm at the same weight I was this time last week and I was eating potatoes and sugar free cookies. This is very frustrating and I can't see suffering through the weekend with this torture that is Phase 1 for nothing or the same results I can get with sloppy eating. I am grateful I have gone 5 days (at the end of today) with basically clean eating because I feel a lot better and more important I feel back in control of my eating. One thing that hasn't left is that complete blah feeling you have when you start Phase 1. The first time I did the program by day 5 (today) I had energy like you wouldn't believe. This morning I couldn't even get out of bed I felt so sluggish and tired. It's kinda weird but I just haven't had the energy to work out this week like I would normally. Maybe these are just excuses but not seeing the scale move, feeling irritable and not having any energy is just not worth it to me. Thanks for listening guys.

I hope you each have a great day and I'll check back later when I get a chance!

Good Morning!

I think I must be "addicted" to this board! I woke up at 4:45 am and what's the first thing I thought? "Oh good! I can check in on the SBD board early today!" Yikes! All kidding aside, this is like a life line for me. I want to thank you all again for being so welcoming and helpful!

Busy day for work ahead. I have a proposal due out at 5 pm and the last day minutes are the worst! Trying to pull together all the last details...But, at least it's Friday! Yea!

FBS was 106 this morning. I've decided that my higher number yesterday may have been due to just eating a larger supper. I'm going to have another sugar-free jello tonight and see what happens!

Marva: Thanks for all you do! I'm striving for One Perfect Day with you!

MountainGirl: Hope your test results are fabulous! And I'm hoping the wagon ride isn't too bumpy for you today!

Happy Friday and have a great Beach Day to all who follow!

Mtgrl, you have so been in my thoughts, sorry you are having to go through this, you are one special lady and one heck of a SBDer! Glad you can be beach again!

Thanks Lisa. You've done great leading the P 1 charge, why not come on over to our ongoing Challenge and let's make it a wonderful Christmas!

SBD is a safe, happy, satisfying way of eating and all the friendship and support we have going on is awesome. Thanks for stepping up to the plate like you do!

Reg, hope your day is going good, you're awesome!

Yah Mel on the one perfect day and all your support!

Marva - thanks for the invite to join the challenge. I just might do that but I feel like such a fraud. I already know going back to Phase 2 will not produce weight loss results for me. I'm not complaining but I know I'll just be maintaining. I sometimes wonder what it would take to get the scale moving for me again. But it couldn't hurt to support my SBD buddies so I'll mosey on over and check out the challenge! P.S. I had a perfect day yesterday and part of it was keeping you in mind sweetie! Thanks so much for being here for us all!

Hi to Chris, Reg and Melynda!

Lisa, maintaining is tougher than losing and you're no fraud, you're just human and experiencing a plateau. Hang on, there are good things ahead for all of us!

I wish all of you guys would come on over and join in with us in the Halloween Challenge and our utiltimate challenge being at or nearer to goal by Christmas. We'll keep a challenge ongoing after that until we all get there......goal that is, woo hoo. Then, we'll work on maintaining goal! How can we go wrong?

Hi to all who follow, have a good one!

Hi Beach Babes !! How is everyone this afternoon?

Today was weigh in.....I'm up ½lb, but it's TOM, those 4 darn cookies, and I'm starting to float away due to the water challenge. I'm OK....just need another big whoosh like last week to get into Onderland.

I can't believe that 9-11-01 was almost 4 years ago. I still remember the horror I felt that day. DD's Godfather (my best friend) worked at the WTC and was due in for a meeting at 9AM. Luckily, he overslept and never made it all the way there. I tried to contact him via cell phone right after it happened, but there was no service most of the day. I left a message on his VM later that afternoon and said "Today is not your day to die, so call me after your long walk home". He called me at 3:30....my heart stopped when the phone rang. So glad to hear his voice and to hear that his feet were killing him from walking over the 59st bridge. I will never forget that day.....nor will I forgot those who lost their lives in the towers, or those who died trying to save them. I was pregnant at the time and we were waiting for the 2nd trimester to tell everyone. So, with everyone being so sad, we told our families that day.

Love you gals

I can hardly believe it either Reg. I'm sure it's a very vivid memory for you being in NY and a friend involved, I'm thankful he was okay. I remember sitting on the couch and was seeing it on tv and not believing what I was seeing and the phone ringing, family wanting to know if I was watching. I didn't personally know anyone but it was an awful tragedy for the entire nation just as this Katrina/gulf coast devastation is.
