My list of questions for the day....lol

Ok so far so good today and today only I have managed so far to stay OP for phase 1...whew.....so I had a few questions for you old pros on here....

I know oatmeal is legal but is it on phase 1?

Is heavy whipping cream legal on phase 1?

And I see in the changes that 1% milk is fine in phase 1 limit 2 servings per day.

What about triscuits are they legal on p1?

And it says no fruit does that count sf applesauce? I'm gonna say thats a yes but doesn't hurt to ask And yes I'm going to rebuy the book again. I read it once and passed it on to another but I should have kept it.

Thanks for any answers and your patience My family is taking a trip this weekend and I'm plannin on staying OP for it...I think I can.

Hi Shanlee. I'm not a pro but I'm old as dirt, guess 1 out of 2 will work. All the girls are kind enough to ignore my age. I'm glad you had a good day!

No, oatmeal isn't legal on p 1

Is heavy whipping cream legal on phase 1?

Heavy whipping cream isn't program for any phase of SBD, too much fat and sat fats. Try fat free half and half, it's good.

And I see in the changes that 1% milk is fine in phase 1 limit 2 servings per day.

Fat free and 1% milk are good in all phases, limit 2-3 servings of any item from the dairy group, milk included.

No....no grains until phase 2.

No fruit and no applesauce in Phase 1, both are legal in Phase 2.

Oh thanks SO much for your help

On the whipping cream I mistook that I had read a homemade recipe for cool whip on the sdb board must have been on the recipe board...LOL Sorry bout that.

Can I have anything at all sweet on phase 1? Cinnamon? Ricotta cheese with vanilla sf syrup and splenda? sf jello ?

Boy I'm glad phase 1 is just 2 wks.....I can do that. Hopefully I can stay on that longer. I'm serious this time about trying. Course that is just cuz TOM has left me and taken my lack of commitment with it....HA HA. Thank you for all the tips Marva I really appreciate it.

yes you can have sf jello, cinnamon and ricotta cheese on phase one
there is a recipe thread at the top of the board and people have put in recipes and what phase they are "allowed" in. i put a cheese cake recipe there and there are alot of ricotta dessert recipes and peanut butter cookies----all phase one legal, just have to watch portions

SWEET TREATS
(Limit to 75 calories per day)

Candies, hard, sugar-free
Chocolate powder, no-added-sugar
Cocoa powder, baking type
Fudgsicles, no sugar added
Gelatin, sugar-free

Popsicles, sugar-free

Avoid applesauce (unsweetened) in Phase 1. It is "Limited" (no more than once a week) on Phases 2 & 3.

Buy the Good Fats GOod Carbs Guide. It llists foods by Phases (all 3 phases next to eachother)
