In blender.....

1 C boiling water & 1 pk SF jello

Blend.

Add one 6oz container of FF/SF/Plain Yogurt

Whip.

Chill.

The jello will settle a bit, and the foam will be at the top.

Excellent for breakfast alone, or with a few pieces of fruit.

It's very good.....I sometimes have a few tablespoons prior to breakfast (either no time, making break for the kids, etc) and it certainly kills my hunger. Good so I dont grab something bad, and better that I'm not as hungry when my real breakfast is made (so my morning snack is sometimes before breakfast)

WOE: whatever currently works!
I have been lurking on this thread...but I've been doing Phase 1 for about 10 days now and have lost about 7 pounds. Here's what I made for Sunday dinner this past week:

Chicken Capris

You will need:
1/2 cup low fat ricotta cheese (part skim)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 slices low fat mozzarella cheese (part skim)
8 oz crushed tomatoes
olive oil
garlic powder

sprinkle garlic powder on the chicken breasts (I'm a garlic lover, so I don't even use a measurement here!)
heat the olive oil in a pan (enough to cover the bottom) and cook the chicken breasts - 12 minutes each side.
place chicken breasts in a large baking dish and set aside to cool
in a food processor, combine the ricotta, salt, pepper, and oregano - process until smooth and blended.
top the chicken breasts with equal amounts of ricotta and crushed tomatoes.
Place the slices of mozzarella on top.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes - serve with a nice crisp salad of your favorite SBD veggies and dressing.
Enjoy! It's FABULOUS - like you're REALLY sinning but you're not

Denise, I hope you enjoy SBD as much as I do!

Those recipes sound really good Reg and Winterstale, we're also glad you're along with us.

I don't have a special recipe as I mainly just stick with simple whole foods but a few things come to mind that have brought me through some days.

First, laughing cow lite cheese is my all time hunger buster, then there's turkey pastrami when nothing else would do, homemade chil and taco meat. Sometimes the spicy foods is what gets me through. Coleslaw is another. I think these recipes are posted in our recipe sticky. Then there's sf gun and water.

Good luck, we're here for support and friendship!

Seasonings cut up and mixed with some vinegar. This is one of my favorite salads.

I like to make my own homemade buffallo chicken strips by cutting up chicken breasts into strips, and lightly "frying" them in a little canola oil after I soak the pieces in a mixture of egg and 1% milk and then roll them in grated parmesean cheese. After they are brown nicely on both sides I put them in a mixture of hot sauce and melted I can't believe it's not butter and then line a pan with foil and pop them in the oven for about 15 minutes on 350 degrees. I serve them with homemade cole slaw and everyone loves it!

Yum, I might make some next week!

It isn't a meal but one of my favorites is

Celery with lite laughing cow cheese on it..my favorite flavor of laughing cow cheese is the garlic and chives...I haven't had that in so long and craving is soo bad, but the stores in my area don't carry the garlic flavor anymore

WOE: Vegetarian version of SB
Start Date: June, 2005
Vegetable quiche cups, except we cook it in one glass baking pan and cut it into squares. It makes a wonderful breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack. Our version is 12 eggs, 12 oz. cheese, 6 cups assorted vegs, whatever combo you like, season according to your taste, bake in a 13 x 9 pan. Cut in 12 pieces. Therefore, each serving is one egg, one oz cheese, 1/2 c. vegs. Good to grab when you are on the run.

Hi Ladies~

I am fairly new but lost 54 on Atkins several years ago and am back but on SBD... Actually, I am learning abotu SBD and waiting for my book to get here. I have been eating primarily SBD Phase 1 for about a week. I like a lunch of:

Lettuce
Olives
2 HB Eggs sliced
Chicken breast or vegetarian chicken patty
1Tbs. sunflower seeds
2Tbs. Dressing

I love it.

I am in search of good ideas too so that once I rad the book and start for real, I will be armed with info and recipes. However, this should be a breeze, I lost my 54 pounds using 20 carbs or less per day on Atkins so SBD is like a dream and so muse less strict!

I am looking for a good dessery to bring to a holiday party...I will go cehck out the recipe threads! :-)

Peace~Vanessa
