Good morning Marva and Beautiful Beach Babes!!

Has anyone had good results taking NOW brand Mega Hoodia?

Yesterday was a good day, I'm happy with my choices, although I am going to make more effort to eat less cheese. I seem to be craving cheese!! AT least I've been eating reduced fat cheese, but, I know it all adds up!

Today, I am planning on going to the pool for the first time since my cancer treatment and doing some water walking. The children are so excited! They've been trying to get me to go to the pool with them for months, but I just haven't been up to it, physically. I'll give it a shot today I think.

I made a yummy stuffed Potabella last night. I stuffed it with chicken breast meat, chicken broth, soy sauce and topped it with a bit of reduced fat Colby/Jack cheese. It was SOOOO meaty and yummy!

Have a wonderful weekend Buddies!

Morning All~

And a good one for me at that....my whoosh fairy visited!!! Down almost 1.5 pounds overnight! I am so excited since I have been stalling for the past week. Downside is that I have a horrible sore throat that developed overnight. I am sure it is something I caught from the kids at school. Hopefully this goes away or will make for a lousy weekend. Just wanted to share the good news with you all and if you just stick with it and be patient, the weight will come off!!!

Have a great day!

Lacy

Hi all! Thought if I am going to stay around, I should introduce myself a bit. I am 48, married 26 yrs, mother of 2 college students who live at home, and one pug. I work as a teachers aide in a Developmentally Delayed (DD) class. My hobby is gardening...hostas in particular.

Enough of that. I am trying this weekend to drink more water, and get in more fruit and vegatables. When I'm busy, I tend to eat more Atkins style...meat and a salad. I NEVER drink enough water!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Morning ladies!

Mtgrl, I've never taken Hoodia, I'm not much of a pill taker. I figure by the time they get it to America, it will be refined or fake like everything else. on going to the pool with the kiddos and on your new energy and good choices, that's awesome. I love mushrooms and your recipe sounds yummy!

Lacy on your determination and whoosh! You deserved it and earned it! Sorry you aren't feeling good, hope you get to feeling better.

Morning Denise, so glad you're planning on staying with us! There's really no safer place to be when one is busy than near to Atkins style with lean meat and veggies. That's also SBD style. Way better than the carby stuff.

I'm working on a better day, yesterday was kind of hard for me. Didn't eat anything off program, just too much. I was hungry all day and just couldn't find that one thing that satisfied me. I'm thinking my body is rebelling again not wanting to chance but it's in for a surprise,

Hope everyone has a good one!

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone has a great weekend. I guess t's going to be rather rainy today, but that's ok. It'll force me to stay inside and get something done!

Denise...It's great to have you join us!!
Lacy Congrats on the weight loss...I hope you are feeling better real soon though! My kids haven't started school yet, but I am dreading any sickness they bring home when they do! Ick!
Mountaingirl Those Mushrooms do sound yummy, although I am not much of a mushroom eater...
Marva I hope today is a better day than yesterday was for you. We all have those kind of days... At least I know I do when I just feel like eating all day! Even if I stay legal I still feel yucky! Just Show that body whose boss!!

Hi to everyone after me!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Melynda

Had to let everyone know that I tried a piece of whole grain bread. Only one with my sandwich, so we will see how my body handles it! I tried SaraLee Delightful 100% Multigrain. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Beach Babes!
Today is my re-start day. I switched a few times and am starting over today with a clean menu. My husband was looking at the SB cookbook and is going to make me some goodies. This is my "birthday weekend" my 36th birthday is Monday, August 29th.

MountainGirl, I'm not much of a pill taker either, but I did try TrimSpa - along with some other supplements. While it did suppress my appetite, I returned it because I didn't feel right taking it. You should do a search on Hoodia Gordini because it is a natural product and I don't see the harm in trying it. I think you'd be better off with that than trying something else that's out there.

Have a great day on the beach everyone!

Ate way too much food yesterday. It was all on plan, just portions out of control. Back to proper size portions today. Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!

Happy Sunday All~

Just wanted to check in and say hi. I'm visiting my parents today, so I wasn't able to weigh in officially this morning. Can't wait to see how the slice of bread I ate yesterday affected me. Hope everyone has a great, healthy day of eating and I will check back in again later!

Good Morning,
While I love you ladies, I need to go back to what works for me and that's Weight Watchers. I may even combine South Beach and WW together. Just a short 3 1/2 years ago, I lost 3I pounds on it in about six months time and started backsliding. It works for me when I work it properly. I just don't get it I did very well last Summer on South Beach, did great yesterday and I'm UP a pound this morning to 180 again! My husband has been right along side me and is puzzled also at it taking me almost two months to lose two pounds. My mom couldn't believe that I'm not losing, but gaining on Atkins and mentioned an underactive thyroid possibility. I had a complete physical a few months ago and everything came back fine, so that's out.

Have a great day everyone!

Steph ....I recently had my thyroid checked too. It was fine. I know I should be happy that I dont need a pill, but I was hoping that was part of the problem I was having.

Good luck with WW !! Glad you'll still be posting with us !!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Monday before I get ready to tuck myself in for the night. I need to catch up on my sleep tonight so that I can be ready for a day with middle schoolers tomorrow

Today was a good eating day for me. Many temptations as I was home visiting the family, but I was able to resist, and I was able to share with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law about the diet. They are impressed with my weight loss and want to try it out. I really hope they do since I have seen the benefits this diet can have. I just hope they will have the willpower to stick it out and not just use it as a fast way of weight loss. I am hoping to get my mom on the boat too as I left all three of these family members with copies of the SBD. I found a great seller on ebay who sold the small paperback full length book version for only 1.99 a piece. What a great find.

Anyways...hope everyone has a great night and talk to you all tomorrow!

Lacy

I decided that I am going to do South Beach exclusively and follow the book to the letter. I never counted points when I did South Beach last summer and did great. I talked it over with my husband and fortunately for me, he does all the cooking and said he'll make me as many salads as I want. When I did SB last year, I was eating at least one salad a day and this time around, I haven't been doing that. I will post my menus too.

I really do love South Beach and it just makes so much sense. I feel great eating this way too!

Steph, a salad w protein is an excellent lunch. That's usually a pretty basic lunch for me too. Glad you're going to be around.

Lacy! What a great SBDer you are, buying books for your Mil and Sil and Mom too! A bargain hunter also, My kind of girl! You're very wisely building a safety net. Hope you had a fun day and kuddos on staying on program, it's not always easy.
