Morning Marva and Beach Babes to follow!

I had a good day yesterday, but I noticed that I've been forcing myself to eat the past few days. That is a complete turnaround from the raging hunger I experienced the first week. Now some of that could be because my blood sugars are staying in the good range because elevated blood sugars mean increased insulin which means increased hunger. OR it could be that I'm not eating enough right now! I know I need more carbs (at least 30 per meal) and more veggies, but I can't force it.

I will make a concerted effort to eat better balanced though!

Today I have some running around to do, so string cheese is the only thing I can take with me when I do get a little hungry. I may bring some almonds as well.

Everyone have a great day at the Beach!!

Good morning Beach Babes!

Only time for a quick drive by right now but wanted you all to know I was thinking of you all. Things are going good for me but I ate way too many whole grains yesterday. I actually can't wait to go to Phase 1 and totally clean my system out. I also can't wait to try those SBD muffins that Jen posted for us yesterday.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

In Phase I, the Doc says....Turkey sausage (low-fat, limit to once per week). I don't see a change to that in Phase 2? Just a thought. It's good to see he allowed a good recipe for a small amount daily.

Good Morning Beachers! I'm down from 179.2 yesterday to 177.6 today! WOO HOO! I don't know what I did differently, but it must be working. The last time I had a diet soda was August 8th - after my husband heard a woman from Mens' Health Mag on the radio talk about how bad it really is. She said if someone is in the process of losing weight, stay away from it. I have my morning cup of coffee and plain water the rest of the day and I swear my pants are looser because of it.

I'll check in later from work - have a great day everyone!

Good morning! Down another pound and feeling good. I'm working out again and eating on plan. Today I have a Moms Club meeting and then a doc appintment for acupuncture. My mil offered to babysit the kids tonight so dh and I are going to go to the movies.

Moutaingirl,
I too was starving the first week when I started and then it got to the point where I had to make myself eat. I would go half the day and not eat or feel hungry.

Lisa,
At least it easn't sugar or white flour. If you were going to do it I'm glad it was with whole grains. Good luck on phase 1.

Marva,
I wish I could exercise in the morning. I can barely drag my butt out of bed let alone work out. lol I wish I was a morning person.

Morning Ladies

Mornings come much too quickly these days.

Jim surprised me yesterday with getting a sitter around 3 and then taking me out to happy hour and to the elks. So, i had a few drinks but i also drank a lot of water so i didnt do tooooo bad.

My game plan today is to make a menu and stick with it. Its been a week or so since i actually jotted down my plan for the day so i think it'll do me well

Things have just been really hectic. I leave on Monday to drive cross country back to Connecticut for the month. Im going to visit family (with the kids) and then we'll be in West Virginia for a week, so i wont even be back in New Mexico until October 7th. Long time without my bed LOL.

Stephanie..great job!

I'll bbl

Good Morning Ladies

Thanks for the Welcome JustMarvi

I do not exercise at all but know that I need too! I have a really nice treadmill that I practically trip over when I walk into my bedroom and still continue to just walk around instead of on it, ha!

So, my goal is to start walking on it 3-4 times a week for at least 1/2 a mile and slowly increase it every week! Do you ladies count carbs at all? I'm still in the Atkins frame of mind I guess and I was wondering if this is still necessary. Do you count calories?

I'm a newbie at this so bare with me

Hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks in advance for your help!

I dont ever count carbs..but i dont put myself out there to count anything really. I did Weight watchers and atkins and i just really needed something that didnt involve counting...

Thank goodness we don't have to count carbs, I didn't want to have to learn that either Stacy. Yah on the one perfect day!

I'm just this week working on not putting my food to the flex points.

Yah on the treadmill Carla, good job on not setting your goal too high, even 10 min at a time to begin with will be great! There are few foods that are specified as limited, no carb counting is required and the only calorie counts are with the special sweet treats, limit 75 per day.

Hi

I ate horribly yesterday - one of the worst days overall for me and I'M DOWN A POUND - GO FIGURE. But I'm on the wagon today because I know that will turn into a two pound gain if I eat that way again today.

Later, Renee

Good Afternoon! I changed my WOE again to Atkins because I really am eating more that way and it is working for me. I think I know why I gained the other day. Have any of you tried low carb wraps?

Welcome Carla. You will love being able to get information and support here. This is the best bunch of people. I'm not very regular with my exercise either. I keep having trouble fitting it into my day. I think if I put my mind to it I could make it work!

Just got home from Denver and Dh and kids did a pretty good job keeping the house in pretty good shape. I am usually cleaning up all the dishes they used in the past few days. (Do you think they ate out alot???)

I did pretty good on my trip. (Biggest naughty was an adult beverage or two)
Still at 164 when I walked in the door today

To all the loosers!
Moonstruck I am trying to stop drinking diet pop as well. I have been a very BIG pop drinker. But I am in such a stall that I am trying to change something!

Have a great day.
Penny

Hello Everyone~

It's almost Friday - yay!!! Still no budge on the scale. I have been in this stall for about 5 days now. I am trying Phase 1 again today just to see if there is any change. I sure have been enjoying the carbs I have been eating though. great to hear from everyone. Will check back later tonight for my evening post
