First of all, I'd like to thank Marva for being such a stable member of the forum. I don't know what we'd do without her. No matter what's going on, she's always here, staying on plan and supporting our forum.

I've taken a short hiatus from the program, and in the process, put on a few pounds. Somewhere between graduating from college, going on vacation, the fourth of July, finding a new job, trying to buy a house, and enjoying the summer, I've managed to lose sight of what this program means to me, and why I love this WOL so much.

I *like* being healthy, feeling good about my choices, and eating well!!! South Beach is so easy and fun, and I enjoy eating on plan and I especially love the comradeship of this board. So, I'm back. Looking forward to losing these five nasty pounds, getting healthier, and enjoying everybody's company.

My goals for Labor Day are:

At least 3 liters of water a day.
Post my menu, and
Vitamins every day.

Today, so far, I've had:
B: 2 buckwheat pancakes w/Brummel and Brown & sf maple syrup.
L: 1 6 oz. can of tuna w/lf mayo & 2 rye crisps

I've taken my vitamins and am working on my 3rd liter of water.

We are going to a friend's for a BBQ, so I'm not sure what's on for tonight as far as meat goes, but we're bringing corn on the cob, cucumber salad, and couscous to share.

Thanks Ally, , I love this forum and you guys, SBD is da bomb! Thanks for resuming your leadership in the Challenge!

Three weeks until Labor day, I think we can all see some results by then! I feel really good about breaking the challenge down into smaller segments with Christmas still being our long-term goal.

My Labor Day Goals are......

Still #1 in my game plan is no eating after 7:30.
Have fun and smile, be positive!
Exercising and counting steps, ((_(_)) wiggle ((_)_)) eh Sharon?
Enjoying Phase 2, staying on program
Drinking water and
Daily devotional (kathymelts, my inspiration )

I bought a small book this week by Dr. Wayne Dyer called Everyday Wisdom It has a short- inspiration - motivation - words of wisdom on each page. I'm just going to open it to something new each day and expecting that will be my need for the day......today's was -

"Be in this moment. There has always only been now."

So, I made this day my moment, stayed on program and had a good day for me.

Yah, Stacy, I read your post in the other thread. Awesome!

Come on guys, we're over here***,

Marva

Ok, well, for dinner I had 1/2 chicken breast (did have minimal bbq sauce on it, but it was cooked on and I didn't really have a choice) some couscous, 1/2 ear of corn, and some cucumber salad. MMMMM. Also, I ate the peaches off DBF's peach cake, but I haven't eaten since then, and I definitely made my 3 liters water. Yeaa for one good day!
21 more days till labor day! I can do it in small chunks like this! Thanks Marva, couldn't do it without you, girly!
Looking forward to tomorrow and another good day!

Hi all -

Well, I've been on track for the last 2 weeks. I'm down to 181. My goal is to get down to 178 by labor day. I'm travelling from now till then, so I need to keep my goal realistic.

I'm excited to get back to school (I can't believe I'm saying that) so I can check in here everyday cuz I'll be on my laptop all the time.

I really want to get the 13 pounds (that I gained over the summer) off. I know it will take awhile, but if I am at 178 by labor day, it will be only 10 pounds left.

I'm still with you all it's just hard right now to get in the posting. Thinking of all of you and our Christmas presents to each other. Which ever the holiday that comes first is ok too as my daily accomplishments are being made for them all. I like this broken up like this. That is how I'm moving down the scale in 10 pound increments. Or I should say I'm trying to move down the scale that way. Each day right now is more of a struggle then it should be but it's because I'm dealing with a bunch of stuff right now. All we can do is just hang on and keep thinking of our goals. Have a good one.

I'm still here too. Feeling better about everything now that the monster seems to be quieted. Sharon, I am so thinking of you, maintain, it will get better!

Think I'm going to get my self hypnosis tapes back out, haven't listened to those in a while.

We'll make it! We're not going back........

dmi, yes, we just partitioned it last week but our main focus is goal or nearer to goal by Christmas. Every week counts, glad you're joining in.

I consider every day a challenge and staying focused is so key. Commit. We can do this!

doltda! So far I think all are SBDers but everyone would be welcome. I move in and out of P 1 - some members are in P 1 but aren't posting right.

We have a little over 4 months, I think it's really close to doable on 45 lbs, according to how fast you lose, but for sure you will be there or close.

You're going to love SBD....some of us are doing--just one perfect days, it's working!

Join in with us on our daily check in thread, it's fun!

We love having dh's too, I always think 1/2 of the battle is won when my dh is in my corner.

Good luck....girl, I (heart) wassup!

I decided that I am going to join in on this challenge to help keep me motivated and to make me accountable to you all:

Here are my goals for Labor Day - 2 weeks from tomorrow

1. Continue no eating after 8:00 p.m. (then work my way back after Labor Day)
2. Drink at least 64 oz. of water a day
3. Make it to the gym or exercise at least 3 times a week (then add more)

I didn't want to add a weight goal, because I still don't know how my body will handle these carbs I am slowly adding back in.

So...there are my goals and we will see what happens!!

Lacy!

It's working...we've been plugging at this since June. I'm not regaining like I have this time every year for the last two years....we're going to get to goal, no backsliding this time.

I'm going to try a change. Since I walked that episode of beating down the monster these last few weeks alone and didn't share too much until it was a done deal, I thought I'd share this with you guys. I have to admit, those were very difficult weeks, I was afraid I would fail like before, but I didn't.

I'm temporarily ditching the accountability with WW flex points and going with eating until feeling satisfied. I'm thinking using the flex points might be causing me unnecessary stress, always wanting to fit my food within a certain point range.......so for the record, as of today, I'm eating according to my feelings of feeling satisfied, setting my smaller plate up with reasonable amounts of protein and good veggies, perhaps a milk, fruit or grain. I'll see how that works in the long haul of things. I'd sure like to get those things, once and for all, out of my head and learn to just trust my feelings.

I'm also changing the Phase 2 meal plan goal to - being more flexible, more toward moving in and out of P 1 to P 2 as needed, instead of solely staying in phase 2. I'm planning on having many....one perfect days with you guys!

Even though we all follow the same blueprint, we all still march to the beat of our own drums, yes?

Just keep tweaking until we get it right for us!

Marva~

I think that sounds like a great plan about dropping the WW flex points. I am sure that it does add extra stress that you don't need when you are already being strict with what choices you can make in your eating. I have found that when I go with eating until I am satisfied, I don't feel like I stuff myself. Of course I have my hungry days, but these SBD foods (eggs, good proteins, etc.) really do keep me feeling full. Let us know how your plan works. We will be there to support you just as you have supported all of us!!

Thanks Lacy, , I'll be posting my menus, don't think there will be much of a change but I post after I eat as I'm *not*good at sticking with preplanned menus. You know, that was the only WW plan I bombed out on, the one with flex points......hmmmm. I really appreciate the support! Well, here we go,

Hi everyone! It's so good to be back on track with feet secure and no sliding all over the place. I'm finally through some rough times as well and I know that it's not right not coming to the thread for help, but it works best for me to just get through my own personal battles. There were a few nights were I broke down and started to eat in the middle of the night. That's behind me now and I'm back down from the gain that it caused. 5 more pounds now and I'll be in the 220's and that is my next mini goal for Labor Day.

I'm back and positive again that I can achieve that by then. Have a great day and keep it beachy!

I think it's awesome, yah! Just one question, are you eating the ff ranch because you like it best or because of program. Actually, full fat is a better choice and it's good.

Congrats and we're so glad you're with us!
