since I think that'll work better for me (I loved South beach but the phase 1 messed up my system so I'm skipping that phase -- dont ask LOL)
I'm eating fruit/veggies/lean protein and 1 "carby" food a day (whole wheat bread or a potato w/ one meal) problem is I've noticed its hard to get all the Points in....... Any suggestions? |

I've heard alot of people that are combining the WW and SB plan, if you go on the WW thread of this board, you'll read about some of those combining them. Check it out and see if it helps you in any way. Good luck (I flip flop between the two plans myself)

back Liz!Girl, are you still riding your bike/walking 10 1/2 miles a day? We'll help every way we can..... I use flex points and it works for me, sometimes I'm over, sometimes under. The higher fat/calories choices would be more points....do you like peanut butter? 2 T serving size = 4 points and it's quite a treat. I see your point range is 28, with the fruit and bread, with some eggs/olive oil and protein, it should work for you. IF you're having a potato, I'd advise eating some fat with it, I've read it's sugar load is equal to a cup of sugar. I'm sure you know potato isn't forbidden forever on SBD but it isn't part of the food lists. Good luck and hope P2 works for you! Last edited by justmarvi : 08-14-2005 at 02:54 PM. |

I try to incorporate my points into SB as well.i plan it out at the beginning of the day and then i dont write anything else down..i was really sick of the 'counting' part, you know?
One thing i have given up is white rice and potatos. I've decided that they're just not worth it. I'd say that if you CAN give them up, try to...it spins your blood sugar out. If you do want one, definantly incorporate some fat..sour cream, cheese, ect..to counteract it ![]() ![]() |
