Hi WinnieBeau!

Here's a quote from Dr. Agatston:

Quote:
How Much Can You Eat?

You may have noticed that I haven’t brought up the issues of portion sizes or calories or any of the other restrictions you typically hear about with other diets. That’s because there are none. Nobody wants to walk around carrying a rule book that tells them how to eat. That’s why your only guideline come mealtime is that meals should be of normal size-enough to satisfy your hunger, but no more than that.
However, eventually calories DO matter, so I am mindful of my portion sizes, but I do not weigh or measure or count anything. Dr. A does say to limit portions if you are gaining or not losing, but he designed this program to be guided your by body, not by weighing and measuring portions. Some people use Weight Watchers for portion control and use SBD for the diet.

"Frankenfoods" is a slang term given to foods that are full of chemicals, additives, preservatives and over-processing. The opposite of "Frankenfoods" is natural, whole foods - that is foods that are in their natural state - such as apples instead of artificially-flavored, artificially-colored, artificially-sweetened apple snacks.

Hope this helps!

I just try to always keep in mind that it takes 20 minutes for your brain to realize that you're full..so if you're eating and eating and eating...you're going to feel like total crap.

When it comes to meat and stuff, i try to keep it at about 4 oz. Veggies i'll have like 2 or 3 cups of...i go to town on salads...

Good luck & WElcome!!
