*♥*Weekend Check In*♥* August 13/14

Hi Gang,

Welcome new SBDers!

Wow, it's great to have the board back even though I haven't had much time.

I'll be gone tomorrow too and have weekend company so it's still busy here.....

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Morning Marva and gang!

I'm glad the board is back as well! T'was weird not being able to get in.

Yesterday, I did a bunch of running around and ate 2 meals out. I did well, but I confess to still having carb cravings BIG TIME. I's sell my right arm for pasta or bread! LOL! Last night for supper, I chose the Blackened Salmon dinner, which came with Pasta w/Alfredo sauce. OK, I thought "how bad could that be?" and toyed with the idea of eating that white pasta with high-fat cream sauce (one of my favs of course!), but in the end, I knew that I could have healthy ww pasta and a lower fat Alfredo sauce at home if I really wanted it. Sooooo, I asked the waitress to sub mixed cooked veggies (no butter) instead of the pasta. It was delicious!! (but, I sure woulda liked that pasta!!). I'm not sure why my cravings are still here (I'm on the tail-end of my 2nd week of Phase 1), but I'll stay on it until the cravings are gone.

Today I get to rest! Yipppeeeeee! Well, kinda.
I have a couple of loads of laundry to do and some kitchen work. I have eggplant, peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and tofu to oven-roast. I also have organic soymilk to make.

I'll plan on making black bean, tofu and roasted veggie stuffed peppers for supper. (I made the balck beans yesterday and they are in the fridge).

Well, that's my day, I hope all is well with y'all!!

Hi all~

Mountain girl...yay for you sticking with it until your cravings are gone! They will disappear, just keep up that willpower!

Marva...good luck with your company. I know how stressful that can be sometimes.

This past weekend we went on a camping trip and ate out some and I ate a couple of corn chips at a Mexican restaurant. I was good however and had a taco salad for my meal, so I tried to stay on plan. When I weighed in yesterday after we got back from our trip, my weight had stayed the same over the past couple of days! I was so relieved. When I weighed in this morning, I was down over 1.5 pounds! I am definitely seeing my goal in the near future. I still want to add in some more exercise and toning to really firm up some of my muscles. That is all the news with me right now. I will be going into my school today to work on some things to get ready for the kids coming in on Monday! Check in later!

Good Morning Everyone! I am another pound down and my big key this week is staying on my WOL, having flax meal every night and NO diet soda. TOM should be here any day and I'm still losing! I keep hearing how bad diet soda is. I sometimes gain when I drink it!

Have a great day everyone!

Hello ladies! I'm having a nice quiet weekend without doing anything but staying good on my eating. I didn't even put on my ped. this morning. I figured it would be just nice to have a free day and not think about putting on the steps. Monday I will be ready for the next round of exercise. I have to be so careful with this as it will be easy for me to just not do it as I have never been a big one for over exerting. I love my treadmill still and will be right back on it Monday until my knee says whoa!

Glad to see you coming back Karla. We've missed you.

MountainGirl your posted recipe sounds so good. I bet those pancakes were yummy!

Marva thinking of you at your family bbq. Your avitar is just beautiful.

Have a lovely rest of your weekend everyone.

Gosh, i've been such an idiot lately. Af arrived and she kicked my butt all over town. I was eating perfectly during the day but nightime hit and it was pure hell. We had my sons first birthday party yesterday *sigh*....and i was horrible..but i made it a point to eat till i felt like total crap so i could start fresh today.

So, i know we've heard this every week for the past 2 lol, but im starting brand new and fresh today. I actually have a friend who is doing it with me and she's getting a membership at my gym so we're going to kick ass and take names. It'll be hard through September since im going back to CT for that time but im going to work my butt off. Ihave a wedding October 1st and the Navy Ball is at the end of October and i want to be able to fit into a really nice dress!!

Reg..you allready have my email addy Go ahead and add me

Marva..love the new avi!

I FINALLY got my 2 cookbooks. The post office decided to get them out of the box for me (where they'd been for nearly 2 weeks!!!). I think im really going to like the low glycemic cookbook. they all look exactly like southbeach recipes..lower fat, low/no sugar...i'll definantly post whatever i love

Have a great day...will try to get back later

Stacy

Good morning everyone!

Stacy ~ Glad to hear from you...just get back on it and you will be fine! Temptations are tough and come from everywhere!

Collrob~ I just tried the laughing cow light cheese lately too. I have only tried the swiss and I really like it, but I would also like to try the garlic and herb. I am having trouble finding it in my area and happened to find the swiss at Target one day.

Moonstruck~ Sometimes I feel so bloated when I have diet soda too. I have tried to cut back so much since I started the diet and I am sure that it has helped not drinking so much of it. Sometimes I like to have some iced tea if I am tempted to order a diet coke when I am eating out and I still get to add the sweetener to it that I think gives me my fix.

Annaday~ Oh how I miss the mall pretzels too!

Marva~ Hope you're doing well with your company there. I am having a cookout tonight with some of my friends, so I will be spending all day cleaning the house/bathrooms and getting ready for school to start tomorrrow! I can't believe my summer has ended already.

I'll be back on later today before company comes to check in. Talk to you all soon!

Hi to all of you!!!!

Dang, I've missed being with you guys! The family graduation party/bbq for my nephew went great! I had one treat, a piece of real rum pound cake that my neice's bf is famous for and it was good AND it's a DONE DEAL but it was worth it No more sugar for a while. Thank goodness for SBD and I don't have to beat myself to death for eating it. Thanks for all your well wishes! As Willy would say, the party's over......and I'm glad to get back to normal around here.

Wow, some awesome posts, love the idea MtG about the sauce with veggies, somtimes a girl's just gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
Lacy on working the choices and down over 1.5 pounds! Good luck with your cookout!
Hi to Melsh, Dana, ReneeBW, Dana, Steph, Reg and Karla, I'm glad you're back.
Thanks Reg for getting the email loop worked, I love the idea!
Thanks Sharon... I've not done good with my walking part of this week either but I'm ready to get back in gear.
Thanks Stacy......oh my goodness, what a beautiful birthday boy! Don't guess you're too crazy about that child....wow! Go kick some with your friend and what were the names of your cookbooks, sounds interesting!

I hope all of you guys will join in on the review of the SBD diet book, we'll get through it and have a good recap for an instant read.

I'm thinking of revamping the Xmas Challenge just a bit....what do you guys think.......breaking it down in segments, like Labor Day is 3 weeks from tomorrow....then Halloween, then Thanksgiving.....little events along the way to the major goal, which is goal or nearer to goal by Christmas.....all you come on over, we're going to get to goal together, .

Hope all you new SBDers will join in with us....

Let's start our new week off with a bang!

I'm up for a labor day challenge! I really need my ass kicked this time too. I've been eating like crap for over a month now, and am way beyond ready to get back on plan! I thought I was ready last week, posted once, stayed on plan for a few days, got back into my comfort (goal) zone, and then screwed it all up again. Then I spent a week thinking, I'd start over again --- "tomorrow"

I seem to be maintaining about five pounds above where I would like to be, and I *know* I can back down there again, which is just killing me. I feel so much more comfortable at 123. I think this all slowly started back in May, or June, when I quit drinking so much water on a daily basis. I slowly started feeling hungrier and got used to eating instead of hydrating, and now it's just a habit. I was drinking about three liters of water every day, and now I'm probably lucky to get in half that.

So, my goals for the challenge are: back to at least 3 liters of water a day, and post my menu. I know that if I have somewhere to be accountable for what I'm putting into my mouth, I'm much more responsible about what I do. Somehow my mind thinks that if no one knows, the calories don't count! HA! If only my belly and hips felt the same way!

It's nice to see Pompom again, and Marva - you look absolutely *beautiful* in your new avatar! Has Lisa been around?
