New to SBD

Hi just wanted to introduce myself ! and say hi to everyone, I have been lurking around the South Beach forums for the past few weeks. and have made up my mind to join....

I did Atkins for 2 months and lost 22 lbs, but I miss certain foods and I have been reading every post I can on SB really seems the answer for me...

I have not gotten the book yet but I will pick up this weekend.

I must say justmarvi you have posted some wonderful information ! Thanks!

GoodGRL0327Dallas, thanks so much! We're so glad you decided to join in with us too and be sure and join us in the other threads, it's a real family here.

SBD is definitely a good way of life.

Congrats on the weight loss, are you beginning on Phase 1 or 2 after being on Atkins?

All you really need to know, since you don't have the book yet, is in the food list stickies at the top of the forum index.....also, take a look at the SBD--Dodging the slippery slope thread, we're learning the whys of it! We're always here for support too.

I went from atkins to southbeach and just love it. I definantly dont gain 10 pounds if i even look at a sweet on this diet lol.

I started on SB and went to atkins and now I am back on the Beach because I missed certain things and I like eating leaner. It's good to have you here!

Hi All I have Started on 8/20/05
Day #1

Menu
Breakfast (3:30AM) - 2 Eggs + 2slices of Canadian Bacon+1 c of Coffee w/2%LF Milk

Snack: 1 C LF Plain Yogurt w/ a packet of splenda and dash of vanilla
A spoonful of Natural Peanut butter

11:00- Had about 3oz of Yogurt Again..

Lunch (2:00pm) Big Salad Texas Road House from Quiznos topped with some extra chicken and beef.

Snack2: Natural Peanut Butter a spoon ful

Dinner:60z Can of Tuna w/ a tablespoon of Mayo and 2 cups of brocolli

Dessert: Fudge pop -

Water Intake: 164 Oz So Far today...

Work-Out: I did wonderful if I do say so myself...
Billy's Basic Training Dvd = 50 Minutes!!!
2 Miles on the treadmill

Comments: My thighs,Butt, shoulders feel like they are in FiRe...


I also weighed in today to see where I am starting off at and A GREAT SURPRISE I am at 175 - Whoo-hoo!!!

Day#2 Menu

BF: 2 Eggs w/ 2 slices of Canadian bacon w/ 1c of coffee with a splash of 2% LF Milk
S: Plain LF Yogurt sweeted with a packet of splenda and a dash of vanilla
L: Baked Roast Beef + 2c of Broccoli
S: 1oz Mixed Nuts
D: Same as Lunch
Dessert: Sugar Free Fudgesicle

Water Apprx: 100oz
Exercise : Nada

Wow is all I can say on your exercise routine. You are putting me to shame. I skipped yeserday's work out and this morning's work out. I'll definitely be getting in something today - thanks for the inspiration!

Ok, to be honest I haven't been following this to the T but I will start again.

I am still the same haven't gained any... still eating whole grain cereals and low fat cheeses ect...


need to get back on the two weeks phase 1 ....

Only 5 Weeks Until I Hit 23 ! !
I have Basically been on phase II SB..... and stayed between 175-180.
Now it's time to kick it up a notch...

Mini Goal
I want to hit 160 by October 21st


I am going back to the phase I.

Have go admit a few cheats here and there...

New Day One on the Beach ( Starting Phase 1 ) again..

Today went grocery shopping, stocked up on eggs and yogurt and turkey bacon... and other stuff.... doing good... For breakfast I had some tuna and water... found some coupon on Sundays' paper for the Smart Balance, Laughing Cow Cheese, Yougurts - Good stuff...Man, I found this awsome treadmill on clearance it's a $600 but was on sale for $328...too bad I didn't budget for that this week... . Donated some $$ to the American Red Cross Hurricane relief... God bless all those people effected by this... On with day one...
