*♥*Weekend Check In*♥* July 23rd and 24th

Good evening~~~morning beachers,

First, to our new SBDer, Firmingrojo (laura) . We hope you find all the support you need here, what an awesome crew! Good luck!

I was thinking today how all of us are setting goals and naming specific things that will help us lose weight and get to goal. Bam !!!, it seemed so logical that we should also think of some positive and good things we've already accomplished and that have made us happier and healthier.

I'm happy I found the SBD, and I'm loving it...
happy I've met so many new, wonderful friends...
proud of our new forum...
thankful for my weight loss...
glad I'm feeling stronger and exercising...
being more focused with the pedometer...
glad I'm looking thinner...
and love being and feeling positive.

ETA: The thing I'm most proud of that I've personally accomplished is adopting the no eating after 7:30 P.M., it has absolutely changed my life!

What can you list as something positive you're already accomplished? Let's claim them as victories, let's shout it out, we're doing great!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and also, hope everyone gets a chance to check in!

Love you guys,

Marva

good morning/evening all
marva-- i know you feel great not eating after 730!!! unfortunately with my schedule that is impossilbe for me... somedays i am on a day shift and some days (when i work) i am on a night shift... so it varies
reg---i wanted to say congrats on your weight loss!!!
those are amazing #"s for the 1st week

my accomplishment...as sad as it is.... i went out drinking with my friends tonight and when i was on the way home... i wanted to stop by mcdonalds and get some food (i have been very strict and have only "cheated" once or twice in the past 2 months since starting SB) but i was strong and just drove home and ate some chicken lunch meat and string cheese. so that is my accomplishment for now ( i would not have gotten "legal food" from mcd's... i was thinking chick nuggets and fries )

anyway.. hope everyone has a great day and has great accomplishments to share

I am down 45 pounds in a year, but maintaining that and still losing not losing 80 then ballooning back up higher.

I drink 1-2 small sodas a day, some days none. As opposed to 3 2 liters plus coffee and water. That is huge to me.

I drink hella amount of water, and love it.

I can live without white food, but as nature intended I will eat what falls from her trees and grows from her bountiful earth and I can live with that.

I'm doing an average of 10k steps aday, that makes me happy, that doesn't count when I am not working.

Hi Marvi, what a great way to start a thread. This week I am proud of my accomplishments...no cheating, no eating after 7:30 and walking every day! I know they're baby steps....but that's what will get me to goal!

Good morning...

My accomplishments are sticking to my modified SBD, working out everyday or every other day for 90 minutes and not eating after 6:30 pm. Since I do not go on the scale I'm not sure if I'm losing weight, however, my clothes are fitting looser than they were...

Hey ladies...

We have a CHEATER in the house..and can we say CHEAT BADLY? Yah..lol. Had white bread at a restaurant yesterday AND we went out for brazillian food (omg yum) last night..had wine, meat AND CHEESECAKE...It was damn good too LOL. Back to the gym for me today

Im soooooooooooo proud because i tried on all of my size 16 pants that i bought years ago and some of them are even a lil big! I just tried those suckers on a month and a 1/2 ago and they were way too tight! Going to the gym and eating right has definantly been an awesome booster for my self esteem LOL.

I have a huge blister on the back of my heal and its making my ankle ache...so im nervous about going to the gym but i HAVE to to make up for not going yesterday and all the crap food i ate! Im doing much better today with eating though lol

Just a quick drive bye to let you all know that I'm doing just fine. I was able to eat some but very slowly. My mouth is a mess but the swelling is going down now. I'm off to steptrackers then heading for a chair where I can put my feet up. Have a nice evening.

Sharon, (((hugs))), I've been thinking about you today and wanting to hear how things were. Please take care.
Stacy, on the pants fitting and some being too big. Looks like you've already jumped right up on this beach and doing a fix. I guess as long as we breathe, we'll be facing situations like that, we all understand for sure.
Kathy, sounds like you're doing good, it's harder at first but will get better in just few days, eat protein and some veggies and all of it you want until you get over this hump. Good luck!
ReneeeBW, on your exercise, that's great about the clothing feeling looser! Wow on the no eating after 6:30, that's awesome
Tracy, on the no eating after 7:30 and walking, those are great!
Darkfire, your weight loss is awesome and admire you eating the whole foods. You've got some great achievements!
Dana , won't be callin you ana anymore, on not going to mcdonald's and making a wise choice. Wow, a nurse, that's great!
Pom, I sure hope you get to feeling better, glad you checked in!
Karla, I didn't get a chance to say hi last night.

I've had a nice afternoon, lazy, but did have to run to the grocery store, dh wanted a steak. I've just grilled 10 chicken breasts since the grill was on and packaged ground sirloin for my safety net. Glad I got that done. I like that old Boy Scott Motto about being prepared.

My new O August magazine came in today so I'm off to get in some good reading, hope everyone is staying cool and having a good one!

What a great idea to celebrate!
1. I feel better
2. My clothes look and fit better
3. SOME ARE TOOOOOO BIG

Now for true confessions!
1. Ate pizza with kids last night
2. Ate a very small piece of wedding cake tonight
AND I LOVED THEM BOTH

I think I am moving back to 1.5 phase for a week or two! I have been a little too liberal with myself.

I hope everyone is staying cool. We are having an awlful heat spell here.

good morning ladies

pennypower-- on the clothes being too big
tracyw--like i told marva yesterday.. i think it is great that you guys can make a cut off time for eating at night!
reneeb---ditto on the not eating at night and congrats on the loose clothes
kathy---i hope phase one is treating you nice
stacy--- i have never had brazilian food but the cheesecake sounds yumm
congrats on your clothes being looser too..... i did the same thing about 3 weeks into the SBD, i wear scrubs A LOT of the time and you really cant tell a change in how they fit becuase they are loose anyway. but i got home from work one morning and played dress up and was so excited when all of my jeans were getting loose and i wanted to say it is good that you had your moment with the "cheat" but are strong enough to just give in a little bit and get right back to eating healthy and get to the gym..it can be so easy to use one moment as an excuse to go off plan becuase people thing "well i blew it"...good for you for not thinking that way ......whew that was a long one
shalbrihil----glad to hear you are doing okay after that...hope your mouth isnt hurting you too much
pompom---sorry you and dh are feeling ooky...hope you feel better soon!
marva---glad you got to have a lazy day...i had one of those too. about the mcdonalds... one of my friends that i went out with..when i talked to her yesterday she said that on the way home from the club(they left after me) that she went by mcdonalds and got food apparently i am not the only one that wanted mcdonalds in the wee hours of the morning...but i was strong!
i will be checking in periodically throughout the day... i am going to a restaurant/bar place this afternoon. my bestfriend call yesterday and said she found a tape of us getting ready for prom we were so tiny back then she said i was walking around in this little half shirt... i have to go by and see that
hope everyone has a great day

edited because i cant spell

Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I just love to come on here and read about how people's clothes are fitting better and some are even too big! That is so wonderful. It is also inspiring to hear that when some people feel like cheating, they have the willpower not to....or if people do cheat, they are able to admit it and get right back on the wagon. I know that I am really looking forward to the end of phase one where I can have some red wine. I know I will be celebrating that on day 15 I already have bought my bottle of wine to celebrate!

I was down on my weight this morning by about a pound after not weighing for a couple of days, so I think that is wonderful! Also, at the wedding I went to last night, I was able to resist the cheesy potatoes, pasta salad, free alcohol!, and only had 2 bites of the wedding cake. I really feel like this diet works for me because I am usually not tempted to cheat and I really like what I am eating!

I will post again later, but just wanted to say hi!

Lacy

Hi Penny, I haven't ever used it, don't know if any of the other SBDers have or not. Guess this is one of those, is it right for me things, I don't know, and I can't find it in the book or new handguide.

It doesn't say whole wheat or whole grain and appears to be an enriched product with some sat fat. If one did use it, I think it would definitely be a phase 2, L product or it would be for me. I think this is where one starts treading water. I'd think whole wheat flour would be more program. JMO

Here's the low down for those who aren't familiar either and could give us an opinion....

Hey everyone! I am back on the beach after doing Atkins for 18 days and losing 4 pounds. I did South Beach last Summer and lost 7 pounds in two weeks and then just quit. I'm back, here to stay and will be here until goal and beyond......this WOL is so much healthier than Atkins IMHO.

I just LOVE the beach!
