Hi guys. Thought I'd get the check-in thread started so I could say Hi to everyone. So sorry I've been MIA. I've started work this week, and have been totally off plan for a while. I do miss you guys and really need to get back into the swing of things, I just haven't been motivated lately, too busy and distracted with work and all. Oh and DBF & I are trying to buy a house too - so there's pre-quals, earnest money agreements and obsessions about contractors, countertops, appliances, and whatnot (it's a new-build). So, it's been exciting and scary and new all at the same time. I haven't even really been eating flour or sugar (well, besides the occasional few bites here and there, but I always do that), just way too many grains, and way too much all around. (Same old story. So, what else is new? )
I haven't even been lurking lately , but I spent a few minutes reading back today. Thanks for thinking of me, Marva.

Sorry to hear that you're on a down note and sure hope you bounce back real fast, We miss you too.

It sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now and it's not all just food. Please take care my friend and hope your plans with the house go well!

Goodmorning ladies! Or evening for those of you late nighters. I am just getting in to record my steps for the day and then off to bed. Did a lot of gardening today as it was cloudy and cooler (not 106 like usual!) and it even sprinkled a bit of rain as we were getting ready to mow the lawns!

I tried a bellydancing dvd today- woo wee! Who knew I picked up one for advanced, um yeah. I got through the warmup and then the ladies just starting wiggling around doing this crazy routine that I couldn't follow but I shook my thang anyway and attempted. That one will be going back to Netflix tomorrow

Morning All !!

Hi Ally ....nice to "meet" you !!

Hi Jess & Marva !!

Sorry to be MIA last night. Thursday is my night out. I hang out with 3 other mommies. We shop then go to the diner. I was good.......just coffee.

We all wrote down WL goals for ourselves in a journal and we will be keeping track of our success in the book weekly. We've all dieted as a group before with much success. We all fell off the wagon a bit and wanted to get back on track. 2 of us are doing SBD, one WW, another.....she's not sure. I told her to go to the library and get the SBD book and read a little. She usually does LF, but giving up the pretzels and pasta will be hard for her. I guaranteed her that if she ate LF and gave up the crap carbs she wouldnt be as hungry as she usually is (and she says she's always hungry). I'm not one to push dieting on anyone because I know what that feels like Maybe she'll see our SBD success and get on board with us.


My goals....
189 by December 25, 2005
175 by February 4, 2006 (my 41st birthday)

Have a great day all !! I am going out of town tonight for a NASCAR weekend in PA. I will be back Monday afternoon. I'll check back later today after thy gym/weigh in.....have a lot to do before my trip.

reg--- i actually didnt want to try SBD when one of my friends was doing it..i attempted it without reading the book and ended up getting sick and i blamed it on SB, but then i borrowed her book and actually read it first and now i LOVE it!!! maybe after your friend sees your success she will want to try it with you

well i am sooooo glad i am off for 3 days!!! i got the wonderful "wow, how much weight have you lost?" comment from one of my coworkers i havent seen in a while!!! i just think that is great when others notice, because it is hard to see on yourself at times and even hard for people who see you every day to see the loss
well i will be checking in ramdomly today, because i have to sleep and i will be going out for a girls night out tonight....but i hope everyone has a wonderful day

Good morning everyone! Just checking in before I get ready for work. I went walking at the park last night while my dtr was at cheerleading practice. I walked 45 min in 103 degree heat, but it still felt good. I think the other people in the park were starting to wonder about me though...lol. I was really sweaty when I finished. I'm sure I looked like I needed an ambulance Have a wonderful day and I'll "see" you girls tonight!

Good morning and TGIF!! I've had a pretty good week staying OP. Even tho I know I shouldn't weigh everyday, I still do and I have lost 5 lbs in the week and a half I've been back on SB. WOO HOO!

Marva - I think it was you that said to stop and say to yourself "do I really want this?" when temptation came. I have to tell you that I gave it a shot this week - and it worked! Thank you!

Ally - we're building, too, so I can sympathize with how busy you are! But it is very exciting. Even tho you may be eating too many grains, it seems to me that you are still on the program, maybe doing more of a P3? I think that's great.

Anadday - There's nothing better than someone asking how much weight you have lost and telling you how good you look! Congrats!

Reg - I have tried almost every diet out there (it seems like) and when I do SB I feel like I have to try to "convert" everyone because I feel that this WOE is so healthy for you. I'm trying to get a friend of mine to try it, too, but she says there's no way she could do it. Oh, well, I'll keep trying.

Happy Friday everyone!

Well I weighed in for the week and am down another 1.2lbs, so since starting last week I have lost nearly 5lbs total! (technically it won't be 2 weeks until Monday, so if I stay on plan this weekend I hope to see more of a loss!).

I think I will stay on Phase 1 for another week and then transition in to a Phase 1.5.

I hope so . In our little group she has gained back 75% of what she lost when we first started to diet. We all have kids and it's hard when there's snacks in the house. SBD is so healthy, and I even told her she could have airpopped popcorn once a week starting P2. She wasnt as excited as I was to learn that.

Oh well........I'll keep trying

I was in CICU in 2002 after DD was born....CHF. I had 3 wonderful nurses that were so loving and caring....they made a very scary situation bearable.

I got home late last night from being out with my friends, then I watched BB6 til about 2AM No wonder why my butt is dragging today.

How did you make the ♥s in the title of the thread......is it an alt-000 thing?

Can anyone start the new thread? or does the duty belong to a few? Not that I had any energy this morning to do so , but some nights I'm up late on the computer. Just wondering.

Good Morning everybody, I hope you all are doing great for a Friday. I'm going back to Phase 1 again. I started over today. I really want to be under 200lbs by christmas so I've got to stick to this.

My sister went to the doctor yesterday. She found out that her cholesterol level was too high. She has to lose weight now. She is also still in depression from when our mother passed on my b-day almost 5yrs ago. We are going to exercise and do some SB together. I have got to help her because I don't want her to end up like our mother. I don't want to either. Please pray for us.

Kathy, so sorry to hear about your sister and her depression regarding your mom's death. My mom passed away almost 2 years ago and I know that my sister and I are still having a hard time dealing with it. You two will definitely be in my prayers. She is very lucky to have you to exercise with and do SB with.

Morning All~

Today I weighed in after not weighing in in 2 days and my weight has changed very little and according to the scale has actually gone up .2 pounds. I am not sure why the stall, but I think it might be because I am on week 2 of phase one. I know the most significant weight loss occurs in the first week. I have been sticking to the menus like I was before, but I did have some diet coke in the last couple of days when my in-laws were visiting. I have heard the caffeine in that can stall weigh loss. I will cut that out for the next couple of days and when I weigh in on Monday, I will see what happens. How much weight loss do most of you experience per week after leaving phase 1? I know it won't be as much as before, but I am just wondering. Thank you all for your support and help as I am trying to do this.

Hi gang, I'm doing a drive by. Dh and I slept late, dgs woke us up.

I went on to the gym early and got my hr and half in on the treadmill and then shopping for new walking shoes, I hate when mine wear out.

I now have my men (and me) fed so I'm off to the beauty shop for a haircut and to see what the magnolia girls are up to. :laugh

on the weight losses!

Breakfast: buckwheat pancake/blueberries and yogurt
Snack: fresh picked orange
Lunch: ww pita stuffed with slaw, turkey and swiss

Dinner: J. poppers and slaw

No more eating for today.

Reg, Nothing is written in stone, but we've found, through trial and error, things flow smoother when we have consistent thread starters on the check in, menu, exercise and challenge threads. Usually, there's no looking for daily threads that aren't posted and no double posted threads. It's good to see new SBDers who want to help and who the wand can be passed to when one is going to be away or need a backup, thanks tons!

Lacy, stay positive, things will level out. I've lost an average of 1-2 lbs per week after Phase 1
