pedometers

Hi all!
For those of you that are going to break out the pedometer and join me in walking across the United States, I set up a group on www.steptracker.com it is called South Beachers and the password is SBD
So once you are logged in to steptracker you click on clubs
Go to join a club
And put in the info above

Each day (or whenever you get around to it if you are writing it down somewhere) you log your steps and it will show all of us sort of competing against one another but also working as a group to get across America and see how long it takes us. I will join as "SB Totals" so you will see that name and it will be me keeping track of all of us together!

Enjoy and hope to see you there. We start tracking tomorrow (July 1st)

here is the steptracker group that watermelonmist set up for us....just wanted to repost it for all of the new faces that may be interested in joining in

Thanks ana!

So Jessica is sbtotals (thanks again Jessica), who is citrusion?

Do youself a favor ladies and get a step counter/pedometer. Even if you aren't able to walk but a few steps at first, it's motivating and can be obsessive for the good.

I've had mine for a couple of years and never got above 10,000 steps a day until I went on vacation this year and decided to wear mine for inspiration, wow, was it ever a great tool for me.

I drag up the rear in the totals but I'm stepping.

Mine's the cheapie 4 dollar one from walmart because I washed my other ones in the washing machine too much to be buying expensive ones all the time

my individual name is citrusion

I will update the totals today and let you know where we are on the map!!

Just a quick post to let you all know that I made it through on my first day of taking my ped and logging what I did. I'm a little tired but feel so good knowing what I accomplished today. This is going to be a great walk across the US. LOL I don't mind bring up the rear if you keep checking on me so I don't get lost. Have a great evening.

if you have a go walking pedi from sportline, the blue one that flips down (which is cool) make sure it is flipped up or it will not measure properly. I went about two hours with mine flipped down and it did not measure my steps last night. Thought you all might wanna know

AAAAAHHHH Does anyone have any ideas to keep the *@%!&$ ped on my dadblasted pants? I've lost 2 today...lol. They have clips and I'm using the clips, but they keep falling off. I think it's because I had on thin dress pants today and there wasn't enough material for the clip....so somewhere in Tulsa are 2 pedometers probably in parking lots. I just went and bought another one so I'm off to walk again (in thick material shorts this time...lol).

Yea, good news. I found one of the peds in the floorboard of my car! I guess it came off while I was getting out or in my car. Now I have an extra one lol.

I ordered a safety strap for my Tracy, it looks through the pedometer and then clips into my pants pocket.
