I don't know what black bean brownies are. If you posted the recipe or gave us a list of ingredients we could let you know but I suspect if it's made with any type of flour like whole wheat then it's not appropriate for Phase 1.
ETA: I see you posted the recipe and it looks good to me! Let me know how they taste. I'm not a big fan of black beans but this might be worth a try! ![]() Last edited by zeraspride : 06-29-2005 at 07:13 PM. |

Hi-just back from vacation.
Yes, the black bean brownies are okay for any phase. If you add any sf chocolate chips--use your best judgement (I count sf chocolate as a 75 calorie treat). Try the recipe using banana flavoring and even as muffins with blueberries (P2). |

Black bean Brownies:
1 15 oz. can drained and rinsed black beans 4 egs or substitute 1 cup sweetener 1 TBSP baking powder 4 TBSP cocoa walnuts sf chocolate chips or broken candy bar blend until smooth in a blender and bake for about 35 min. at 350. Use white beans for the banana bread and blueberries for muffins. |

You know guys, I'm going to be real careful with these, they sound awesome but could be kind of like the kiss of death to a good way of eating.
For me, they belong in the L to VL, P2. Even though they're made with beans and eggs, the blending would make it more of a processed food then whole food and quite possibly a trigger food???..... jmo |
