Guess what I did for exercise this weekend?

I went jogging! Yep, that's right. Me! I went for a real old fashioned jog on both Saturday and Sunday.

Let me explain.

I have always been so envious of people you see on the street jogging or even running along in their work out clothes and tennis shoes looking so athletic. I power walk several times per week but I longed to up my game so to speak and jog or run too. I felt at my weight I was way to heavy but I started to think about all the things I have accomplished so far like doing Firm work out tapes 6 or 7 days per week and decided to try it on Saturday morning. It was a wonderful experience. It took me about 35 minutes to complete the circuit of my large block and I even jogged an entire street.

I repeated my jog on Sunday and it was a good experience as well, except for a dog chasing incident where I took a nose dive into some grass but my ego was more bruised than anything else. The owner of the dog was really concerned but I told him I was just embarassed and would be alright and continued on with my jog and am none the worse for wear.

I plan on jogging again this coming weekend but willl be on the look out for any canines that may be in the neighborhood. I'm sharing my story for any who may need some encouragement to begin a work out routine. Now that I dropped 100+ pounds, I want to do all kinds of stuff that I would never have tried before like swimming, tennis, ice skating, horseback riding and eventually to run, jog, or walk a 5k. Now that I have taken this weight off, I feel like I can try any sport I put my mind to it to try!

Lisa.. That is fantastic.

I am envious of joggers also. I just cant figure out how they do it. I cant run for more than 6 minutes at a time. Then I am so out of breath and struggling. I see some people running down the road without breaking a sweat.
