Good morning...
I see that the board was pretty quiet over the weekend...Hope that means that everyone had a lot of fun stuff going on! I had a busy one, I know that! And boy am I feeling it this morning! Whew! I weighed in on Friday - 150.5. That's 1 pound down from last Friday. I'm not overjoyed about it, but I suppose it's better than a gain, so I'll take it. Not to mention TOM is on it's way. YUCK. I know that's affecting me - and it's making me snack/munch a little more than usual. I'm going to be clean ALL week and for a great result on Friday! My biggest problem is getting exercise in - I'm just not making it happen like I did during week 1. I hope everyone has a great day... ![]() |

Good morning everyone!
I never get to post over the weekend and this was my sister's baby shower was on Sunday so I knew I wouldn't get to check in. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine was so busy. The shower was a success and my little sis received lots of lovely gifts. I managed to stay OP despite all the goodies on the sweet table. My focus was on hosting the party and not eating. It gave me such a free feeling. I'm bouncing around with my weight as per usual. I always seem to stay between 175-179 pounds and that's right where I am. I did add jogging to my exercise routine and that was fun. I'm so sore and wonder if that's why I'm up a bit. Oh well. I'm trying to handle of this pre-maintenance thing and not be bummed out that I can't get the scale to move lower. I did try on some clothes this weekend and have a pair of capri jean shorts that someone gave me in the middle of May that I couldn't even get over my hips. Now I can get them over my hips and button them but I'm not quite comfortable wearing them. I also tried on my favorite black skirt that I haven't wore in a while because it was getting too big and I was able to pull it off without even unzipping it! I'll take these small victories since I'm not getting any scale victories. ana - thanks for getting us started today! Traci - Congrats on being down 1 pound, that's awesome!!! Especially without exercise. Hopefully, you'll be able to get into a routine this week. I'm going to shoot for clean eating this week as well. I did so well at the baby shower that there is no reason I can't stay away from the sugar free sundaes this week! I hope everyone has a great Monday!

Good Morning everybody, I hope you all had a good weekend. I'm really excited today I lost another 3lbs. I think its probaly more because who know who is here. (TOM) I will settle for the 3lbs.
I'm on Phase 2 now. I noticed you can have bread. Can I have 1 slice a day? Will that be ok? If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks, |

kathy - Woohoo!!! Congratulations on losing another 3 pounds. I see our stats are kinda similar expect that I started out much heavier than you. You are doing so well and should be so proud! Keep it up girl. What size do you think you'll be wearing when you get to your goal of 175? I'm at that weight right now and fighting like crazy to get these last few pounds off wondering if I should just stay where I am in a size 12 with some size 10's. I'd love to know where you think you'll be at this weight. Thanks!
becca - Yay!!!! Congrats to you too for your loss this week. Losing 4 pounds is awesome! I was always amazed at the variety and amounts of food I could eat and still lose weight. You're doing great, keep it up!! |

Morning ladies! Internet is finally back up and running- I was going crazy this morning trying to figure out what to do without it!
So sad. I had a pretty good weekend. We went to a wedding and my only no-no was some wine (I'm from Napa, that's where the wedding was, come on...hehe). But anyway I was proud of myself for that being the only thing that "got me." I am officially down 10 pounds as of Friday so that's exciting. anyway I hope all of you lovely ladies are doing well. Enjoy yourselves!

Hey guys. First off, I want to apologize for slacking off on the challenge thread. I have all kinds of excuses, but what it comes down to is, I got lazy about it.
I guess I don't make a very good challenge leader. I'm sorry. It's good to see all the beginners doing so well! Congrats on the losses and keep it up! Hi Anadday, it's typical for the board to get progressively slower beginning on Friday. Thanks for getting us started. Traci - down is definitely better than up! KUTGW Lisa, been missing you girl. Wish I was as steadfast as you! Very very VERY cool on the jogging, I'm so proud of you! I *really* need to get back into my callenetics - my hips are getting big again. Kathy - I would try starting out with more whole grains instead of bread. If you can find a sprouted grain bread, that would be better than bread made from whole wheat flour. Add one serving of the same grain every day for a week to see if it bothers you with cravings or gaining or anything else. Then add something else for a while until you figure out what your body can and can't have on a regular basis. GL and awesome job on the #'s. Becca - Good job. 4 lbs is a LOT!!! Hi Jen, you're doing good, getting right back into things. Hey Watermelon, good to "see" you, congrats on the 10 pounds! You're just about 1/4 to goal!!! As for me, I haven't really gone off plan or even gained but I haven't been happy with my decisions and I feel like a fat slob. I keep thinking I'm going to start being "good" again (tomorrow, of course) and then I never am. Today is the day though. I'm seriously tired of feeling like this. I'm going to start planning when I eat instead of just snacking all day long. Sorry I haven't been around and really sorry about dropping the challenge thread. GL to everybody and I'll be back later. |

Hey alleycat none of us are perfect and I'm sure we have all had our "starting tomorrows" as well. It's so hard to stay focused, especially in the summer with all the cookouts and such. I know you will make it, be it "tomorrow" or the next day. I for one will never be the one to "throw the first stone" at someone who has fell off the wagon. Just let me know if I can help you in any way to stay on the beach!

Jen - when I read your post I thought about something Dr. A said in the book. He mentioned this program is designed for being human. He knew we would get sidetracked every once in a while and this program is so forgiving when and/or if we do. Congrats on getting right back on track! Enjoy your treddie work outs!
Jessica - congrats on being down 10 pounds! Woohoo!! That is just great we are all so proud of you!!! ![]() Ally - I have missed you so much girlie!!! I'm glad to hear that you are back in the zone again. Don't worry about the challenge. Just having you come here and post with us is encouragement enough. Thanks for the compliment about being steadfast. I just love trying new stuff. I've been checking out the coolrunning website and getting ideas on how I can increase my jogging to running (eventually). It's very exciting and I think that is what keeps the exercise thing fresh for me when I try something new. You help keep me going so don't stay away from the boards too long! Take care! ![]() |
