ok, so how bad did i screw up???

I went to mc Donalds..... I am on day 4 of phase 1..
I ate, 1 big mac, threw away the bread...Ate the meat and lettuce and very little big mac sauce.....
Did I screw up big time? is eating mc Donalds meat gonna mess up the weight loss for phase 1? I suppose i should of had the chicken, but i was wanting the meat........
I know part of phase 1 is certain foods and combinations of foods that help with your weight loss, so I am just wondering if I messed up big time....

Well......There are five things at Mcdonalds without sugar and apparently the meat or sauce aren't part of those. I don't eat there anymore, ever ever. Btw all those places subway included inject their meat with a marinade and it has sugar in it. But it all depends if you are sensitive to fillers and stuff like that then it might, but if you aren't it might not. When I first did atkins 7 or so years ago I ate mcd's eggs and bacon three times a week and lost over 80 pounds. Now....I can't eat any of it. I have detoxifed my life so much anything not natural causes issues. It probably did before but I was so messed up I didn't know what was casuing what. Happy eating and the biggest thing, don't beat yourself up over it. A huge glass of pure water will make everything a ok....seriously if you are concerned the water will help flush out anything icky.

when i first did low carb a year and half ago, and was losing consistantly i ate at mcdonalds quite a bit, the grilled chicken sandwhiches and the burgers without buns, and they never affected me badly. just pay attention to your weight loss and if you notice that it stalls you, don't eat there anymore,... but i would say you didn't blow it at all,.... now if you had the fries with it....that's a different story!!

this site cracks me up, my message i posted had like 32 people look at it, but only 2 people post a reply....Wierd!!! I am used to the weight watcher message boards and you get like 20 replys....any way, thanks to those who replyed..i was really feeling bad about the mc donalds ting and wanted to ask about it!!

Hi Jodi,

I'm an at work poster so you probably will never see a reply from me after 5:00! I am often surprised too at how many views the exercise thread gets each day but we only usually have 3 or 4 ladies post their exercise.

I wanted to agree with what was said above about the burger probably not messing with your Phase 1 progress. I used to eat double cheeseburgers minus the bun and ketchup all the time at McD's and lost 1.5 to 3 pounds per week. Now I prefer Wendy's burgers or even Burger King but hardly eat fast food as I think my homemade burgers are much better but in a pinch I'd certainly grab a burger from McD's. As casweet posted, at least you stayed away from the fries. They always smell so good to me but I resist!
