Exercise Thread for Monday, June 20

Good morning everyone!

Here we are on Monday morning. The start of a brand new week that we can make of it whatever we put our minds too. I am hosting my sister's baby shower on Sunday and I want to make sure I look my best because I haven't seen some of these ladies in years. I want to make it my goal to work out each and every day up to and including Sunday. So I'm making a personal 7 day 2x a day work out challenge here and now. Anyone crazy enough to want to join me? It's okay if I have no takers. I think I must be nuts for wanting to do this but I'm going to force myself to be up to the challenge. The bad news is that I didn't get up early enough to work out this morning - the good news is that I'm in good spirits today so it seems an easy thing to schedule to work outs (at least in my mind!).

I'm going for a 2 mile power walk at lunch and this evening I'm going to do the work out I should have done this morning which is Firm 4 jiggle free arms.

I'm also oh so happy to report that this is week 2 of being at siggy weight for me! No weight loss but usually I see siggy weight one week and then my weight starts creeping up and I end up 4 or 5 pounds above siggy weight and then have to fight to work my way back down, which usually takes 2-4 weeks. I hit siggy weight and the cycle starts all over again. I've been playing this game for months so you can understand now why I'm so happy to see 175 pounds on the scale two weeks in a row.

Since I've declared unofficial goal, I'm going to spend the summer trying to hang out at this weight with an aim of getting to 170 by summer's end. We'll see. I'm in sort of a self proclaimed "pre-maintenance" phase right now (phase 2.5) and am a little nervous about all phase 3 will mean. But for now, I'm concentrating on these two work outs per day for the week as I do the pre-baby shower count down!

Enough about me, what is going on with you? What are you doing today in the work out arena to get yourself one step closer to goal?

Oh yeah!!! I'm wiling to join the challenge!!! If I wake up early enough, I can get in an early morning workout before DD wakes up.

zeraspride: is one of your workouts strength training and the other cardio? just curious how you're doing it. you'll look great for sunday!!!

we're going to visit in-laws/DH's family reunion in late July...i want to look my best by then!! i've definitely lost a lot of weight since they last saw me...but of course i just want to look as good as i can.

Tonight I will do strength training at home (upper body) and I'll be running the airfield (4.1 miles) tonight. I realized that the 10K is only 2 weeks away!!!

tired from the 4.1 miles. I'm proud of myself for not stopping/walking (except to tie my shoe 1x). Later tonight I will do my arms with free weights.

blah. so tired...but feel good - i'm at 80oz of water so far...and i'm still thirsty.
