AND

Introducing

All I Want For Christmas" Challenge!!!!

Several of us beachers want to copy-cat the Christmas Challenge in the Century Challenge since we think it's such a great idea and post on the SBD board for conveniece now... and then carry it on through until Christmas after the 4th Countdown Challenge is over, also, we could keep incorporaating those steps in this one for added support!.......

~~~
So..ask yourself this:
Do you want to give yourself something REALLY special for Christmas this year? Good! ...You deserve it!
It's simple...the challenge will run through to Christmas Day
The hope here is that we will all see wonderful changes in ourselves by the end of this 6 months. I would encourage all participants to pick a personal 6 month goal too...one that
you keep to yourself and then surprise everyone with at the end...your christmas present to you!
Quoting Dr.Phil....
"Don't just set vague goals like, "I want to lose some weight." Be specific: How much weight do you want to lose? How do you want to feel? Close your eyes and visualize yourself after you've reached those goals. Use this visualization to feel commitment and inner strength.
Be sure to move toward a positive goal, not just away from being fat. Every step you take will bring you closer to being who you want to be.
Where will you be in a month? six months? a year? Fit your goals to your calendar, and stick to it.
Don't expect to see huge results overnight; take the time to change your lifestyle, and you'll change your weight."
What better reason to start thinking of our Christmas presents we want to give ourselves, being at or near goal and not doing ourselves in before then......again.
Okay, ready.......set.........go, let's do this! Let's make this Christmas special!
I just want to thank Marva for keeping us going this weekend! I was feeling sick for a few days, and then TOM came, so I haven't been myself in a while. I can't believe it's been 20 days already on the 4th of July challenge!! I'm feeling pretty good, but have also been pretty lax lately with TOM and all...a few too many legal treats and been getting on the scale too often (read: every day) Sorry Denise but happy to say, I haven't gained., even with some evil water retention. I do want to get back down to 123 or 122 by the end of the challenge, so I'm going to have to start changing something here pretty soon! I'm pretty happy with maintaining so far, I'm still within my goal range, and I'm really proud of being binge free for so long. Yea me!!! Sorry I haven't been around much, Off to catch up everything...TTFN
It's fun Ally, keeps me motivated, most often the giving/sharing is the precursor to receiving, don't cha think? At least it helps me stay commited. Mom always taught me to hang around with nice friends!
I'm soooo glad you're feeling better and you're doing great, thanks for all you do for us on the board!
Okay, beachers, come on in and let's get that final bang for the 4th and then start working on our present to ourselves for Christmas! The time's gonna pass either way, we might as well get heathier and closer to our goal weight.
My goal today is to eat clean, think positive and smile some along the way.
Marva
I'm just checking in!
It's good to have you posting again with us Ally! I missed you!!!!
I'm doing pretty well. My weight is holding steady at 175 and I hope to see a loss of a pound befor the month is over. I remember the days when I was losing a pound per day and now it's slowed to the point where I am fortunate to lose 1 or 2 pounds in a month. I am gaining muscle though and that's always a good thing. Even though it seems to weigh heavier on the scale.
I have to stay away from the dreaded sugar free ice cream sundaes although considering I had them at least twice this past week and didn't do any damage. It's nice to know I can go to the movies and have buttered popcorn and eat a sugar free sundae and maintain my weight.
I'm going for a 2 mile walk at lunch and then doing a Firm work out this evening so my exercise is good.
Marva - you're doing great! I'm going to steal your idea to think positive. That's my goal for today. Sometimes I start to think of this wol as a chore and it really isn't! Working out and working up a good sweat is great, eating the foods we are allowed is great and I'm down over 100+ pounds! What's not to love about South Beach? I've got a smile on my face right now (thanks in part to your post) and I want to keep it throughout my day!
Have a wonderful Monday everyone!
justmarvi: yay on feeling positive...i will do the same today!!
Today is starting off well on the water...i was really slacking this past weekend. My goal for today is to complete the airfield run (4.1 miles) and #4 - drink MORE water!!! Everything else seems to be going fine.
July 4th is just around the corner! Then, at the end of July, we're going to in-laws house, and DH's family reunion. Want to look my best!!!! Posted this in the exercise thread...I've lost lots of weight since they last saw me, but i still want to work hard all of June/July so i can truly feel my best. I will also need to figure out some good exercise alternatives during the week that we're there!!!
