Hi everyone...
Down to 135lbs today.. Obviously a little cheat shocks my system and gets the weight loss moving again. The key is not to overdue it. Thats the really hard part. I am going to do phase 1 for exactly 2 weeks now. Plus try to get to the gym alot for the next 2 weeks. I know I have had this discussion before with Lisa about cheating on vacation but now my take on it is a little different. I have come a long way to get to where I am now. I started SB in March 2005 and have lost 28lbs. I just dont want to get caught up in my old ways when I cheat on vacation. It will be hard not to have 5 chocolate croissants for breakfast but my plan is to have 1 with eggs and sausage and some veggies and so on. Plus I am going to hit the gym every morning (while it is still cool). I have to admit I am worried about this trip and my weight. Most of my new clothes are perfect fit now. They wont be with 5lbs on so I have to be careful. Jessica---congrats on staying on plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It gets easier, doesnt it?? Ally---hey there girl. So glad you are still with us. Marva---Have fun!!! Hi everyone else and to the newbies starting today..

Good morning everybody, I hope you all had a great weekend. I really wasn't feeling too well on Sunday. I did cook dinner for my husband. He enjoyed Fathers Day.
Guess what? I have lost 4lbs, I'm so happy. Today is Day 8 on Phase 1. I'm really going to stick to this diet. |

Mornin' everyone ~
I'm feeling a little bloated today - had shrimp and crabs w/my dad for fathers day last night and i over did it with the shrimp i think. And I was so bad - I was dipping the shrimp in cocktail sauce not even thinking about the sugar in the ketchup it's made with - DUH! Back 100% today - forgot my v8 for b'fast this morning though. Gotta get organized!!! I'm going to be walking on my lunch hour today. Actually really looking forward to it. Then if I can squeeze it in I want to do that Pilates DVD again. I really like it and think it had a lot to do with my loss this past week! Have a wonderful day on the beach ladies ![]() |

Morning to all!
Hi Jessica, Ally (love you too), Pom, Kathy and Tracy and all who follow! Did my weigh-in, I stayed the same, 166. This is a perfect example of how stress and lack of rest and sleep, keeps us from losing. All my ducks were in a row as far as menus and exercise but my rest/sleep/stress level has been off due to getting things together, etc for vacation. A good nap, and I'd probably lose a little.....so don't get upset when you don't lose, you may need some rest and more sleep. I'm going to do a repost of this from the challenge thread, hope everyone can see that SBD does work. It isn't dramatic, but it's consistent. Beginning weight 193 -2/14/05 Wk 1 - 5 lbs - 188 - 2/21 Wk 2 - 4 lbs - 184 - 2/28 Wk 3 - stayed the same - 184 - 3/7 Wk 4 - 1 lb - 183 - 3/14 (mini vacation) Wk 5 - stayed the same 183 -3/21 Wk 6 - 2 lbs 181 -3/28 Wk 7 - 2 lbs 179 -4/4 Wk 8 - 3 lbs 176 -4/11 Wk 9 - stayed the same 176 -4/18 - (mini vacation) - woo hoo, tenative goal, 20 lbs Wk 10- 3 lbs 173 -4/25 Wk 11- 1 lb 172 -5/2 Wk 12 - stayed the same 172 -5/9 - final week of O boot camp! --21 lbs Wk 13 -1 lb 171 -5/16 Wk 14- 3 lbs 168 -5/23 Wk 15 - +2lbs **first gain 170 - 5/30 - (3 day mini vacation) Wk 16 - 3 lbs 167 - 6/6 Wk 17 - 1 lb 166 -6/13 - 27 lbs to date Wk 18 - stayed the same 166 - 6/20 - on vacation beginning 6/22 Wk 19 - 6/27 - on vacationWK 20 - 7/04 - on vacationY'all have a good one! Good morning ladies,
I am happy to report that my weight is holding steady at siggy weight. It's not a loss but considering how my weight usually fluxuates from week to week, this is the first time I can ever remember my weight being the same two weeks in a row so I'll take it as a victory. It's 7 days and counting until my sister's baby shower. I'm going to be seeing a lot of people I haven't seen in years so I want to be sure to look my best. In connection with that, I am embarking on a 7 day 2x a day exercise challenge. I'm pretty excited about it and it will help take some of the anxiety and pressure off me from hosting (and planning) a baby shower for 50 ladies! My eating was pretty messy on Saturday (popcorn at the movies on Saturday) and an unexpected sugar free ice cream sundae earlier that day. I was back on track yesterday and plan to have very very clean eating this week. I saw a sugar free pound cake in the store the other week and I should have grabbed it because now they don't have anymore. But I'm going to check at another store and see if I can found one so I can have a little dessert on Sunday while every else enjoys the baby shower cake. Marva - you are on the countdown to your vacation right? I hope you're having lots of fun getting ready and you already know we will miss you when you are away! Jessica - congrats on day 10! Also here's a big woohoo!!!!! It's hard to stay OP when visiting and you did it! Use this success to keep building good eating habits and you'll handle Phase 2 just fine. Ally - it's so good to have you back, we have been missing you!!! You were sick right? I hope you are much much better now! ![]() Pom - I hear what you are saying girlie. You have come a long way and congrats on seeing 135 pounds on the scale, that must be a wonderful feeling!! I won't be going on vacation until January and know I'll be on Phase 3 (one way or the other) by then and like you I plan on being balanced. I will definitely NOT be eating sugar but I do plan to add potatoes back to my diet and a few other things I know are not allowed on Phase 1 or 2. Anyway, please let us know how moderation works for you on vacation. Have a great time!! Kathy - congrats on losing 4 pounds! You have to be so proud of yourself, we are proud of you too! This program does work and you are living proof!!!! Traci - enjoy your walk at lunch. I'll be walking too! I work in the largest building in my city and 4 times around the building is a mile and I usually go around 8 times. I always feel great when I get done. Plus I plan on doing a Firm work out this evening so it looks like our exercise mirrors each other's today! ETA: Marva - your stats are just great! You are such an inspiration to the rest of us! I'm so glad you are here to encourage us that this can be done. I never thought about the connection between stress/lack of sleep and weight loss. Wow! It's no wonder I haven't gained all my weight back I feel so stressed at times. Anyway, I'm sure you busy packing for your trip but don't forget to take it easy too.

Hello everyone!
I guess it's time to check in here again, has been a while. As always I don't feel I have much to say besides: I ate this and that, I weigh this and that. But today I celebrate another milestone, and, with all the new SB kids joining in all the time, I thought it'd be a good day to check in and tell you that, yes, SB does work indeed. Hopped on the scale today and weighed in at 166 lbs, that means 50 lbs lost. In 6 short month (almost to the day). It's been going *very* slow the last 3 months, but I never got out of my "diet zen", figuring that sooner or later I will be where I want to be (which right now would be 155, possibly targeting 145 then). To all the new faces: welcome! And to all of you here: tons of HUGGGGGGGSSSSSSS! ![]() Take care all,

Ursula - it's so good to hear from you!! For the record, we love hearing that you ate this and that and that you weight this and that. Even if it's the same foods and the same weight. It's just nice to have our SBD friends checking in! Congratulations on losing 50 pounds!!!!! That is just awesome and in six months too is just great. It's slow going, okay crawling, for me right now too but like you said, I'm in diet zen and I know this program works. I just have to be extra patient to take off the last few pounds. Anyway, please check in with us more often. We have missed you!

Way too much time on my hands!
|
Morning. This week is going to be crazy. I have so many plans and not enough time. Everything is still going good here. Paige is now one month old and is starting to smile at us and stay up more. It's amazing to see how much she's changed. Today we have a Moms Club lunch and then I'm having dinner with a friend. I have a ton of errands to run inbetween and when I get home tonight I have my treadmill workout.
U-Woman 50 pounds is wonderful. Keep up the great work.Lisa, You've done great and I'm proud of you. I used to work out twice a day way back when and I remember just dropping when I got into bed. I never slept better. Marva, I totally hear you with the stress affecting weight loss. I'm a major stressor and when it's higher then usual the scale doesn't budge. It's so frustrating at times because the scale not moving or going up can cause even more stress. Have a nice walk Traci. I wouldn't worry too much about the sauce. It happens every now and then where you just completely forget about the contents of something. Kathy on the 4 pounds. Pom, You are doing great. Dh and I have a rule of no cheats on vacation. We did one time and I came back 10 pounds heavier and it took a few months for it to come off. After dh saw how upset I was we decided to have a rule about no cheats and I've actually lost weight on every vacation since then. To me it's not worth it because I would probably continue to cheat when I got home. Working out every day is a great idea while there to help you at least stay the same. Ally, I've cheated a few times with the scale and I have mixed emotions with it. I'm glad I'm not weighing every day but I hate that the scale still has control over me. How is it going for you? Hi watermelon! Congrats on day 10.

Hello
Well, I've decided that I'm the only one in control of this weight issue and I'm the only one who decided to fall off SB and fall off bad - so I'm reinducing today and I just hope that I can report in tomorrow and state that I stayed clean.
I have two big beachy weekends coming up too - another reason to drop some of this ridiculous weight I allowed myself to regain. On one of those weekends I'll see my SIL from HE77 too - my main motivation to start losing the weight in December. Well, I've got performance reviews to do = later beachers, Renee ![]() |

Hey everyone
Today is the start of week two of the SB diet. I've learned alot, but continue to learn with the help of everyone here. I've realized that my diet is not exactly correct, so I"m going to tweak it, in fact, I may re-read the book to ensure I'm eating right.
My weekend eating was great. Well I should say, I didn't cheat or slip even yesterday. At the BBQ I was good, didn't have a slip up, didnt really have an urge and felt full after dinner. I'm looking forward to this week and feel confident with the support of everyone here All the best, Natalie

Hey Beachers--
I survived the weekend at my parents without being too bad. I am going to do an extra week of Phase 1 to make up for the weekend. Mom and Dad are great about helping me with my diets, but i forgot to warn them and so we weren't prepared. Poor planning on my part. Did pretty well and it hasnt' shown on the scale yet. Got some good news this morning. I got a new job. I am going back to teaching. I got the job I interviewed for on Wednesday last week! I am so excited. I will be sad to leave my friends where I work now, but I miss teaching a lot. So I have LOTS to do in the coming about 6 weeks. Packing, find an apartment, get ready for school, and train in my replacement. All that and train for my 5k! I am going to need to go running to keep my sanity! Sorry so short. Gotta run. Almost lunch time and still have things to get done. Hope everyone has a great day. beth

Denise - Paige is one month old already? How sweet. Tell her Auntie Lisa said hello and give her a great big hug for me and of course give one to her big sis from me too!
Renee - you can do it! You are right, it is up to each of us. We have the control, although some days it seems we have no control over anything! I bet you will get through today eating clean! We are pulling for you! Natalie - Way to go!! Congrats on getting through the weekend with no cheats. That is an accomplishment in and of itself. Now go chug some water! ![]() elisabeth - congrats on the new job! My sister is in school to become a teacher and she's so excited about it. Enjoy your extra week on Phase 1! kathy - you are on fire! Keep it up girlie!!! Chocolate is a challenge for me too and I've been on this program for a year and half! I do endulge from time to time in sugar free chocolates. We have a shop that makes homemade candies and I will get myself 1/2 pound of sugar free chocolate peacan carmel truffle thingies and portion them out (they are $14.95 per pound). Yummy! Jen - welcome to the Beach! I know you'll do well on the program. Post often so we can get to know you, okay? |

Hi everyone! Gosh, I wish I could check in more often! It is always so motivating to read all of the posts
I have continued to eat pretty good. It was hard this weekend to get some snacks in, and to keep the temptations at bay. I did eat a few cookies, I must have been offered 10 different homemade awsome types of cookies in the past 36 hours. I make choices all the time...but they were really GREAT I have to go out of town tommorow for business, I am really worried about this trip, Plain and Hotel, Evening events, I hope I can find a little store to pick up a few snacks if I have a place to keep them. 45 days into SB and I have lost about 13 lbs. I have hit a couple of stalls, but I know this is the right life eating plan for me. Especially with the support of all the beachers! Have a great week

What a great day! Yah on all the posting and great weight loss and seeing some of you again.
Wish I had time to do personals but please know that I sit here and read and say good going and yes I understand and I know you don't know if but I do. Waving to each of you **!** If it could go wrong for me today, it did. The egg I was poaching blew up in the microwave this morning even though the yolk was pricked to almost completely broken, totally awful.....then the city decides **twice** to cut the water off to fix a pipe up the street, whoppie, then the eye piece of my sunglasses needs to be replaced...then it finally dawns on DH I'm going to be gone and what's he gonna do for 2 wks, duh, and he wants chips, etc. so off to Walmart I go again, pick up my laundry, find some good snacking things at the health food store for to take along, finally get home then the phone begins ringing, good friends.....mercy...grasping for air....so I'm ready to get with it I think, hoping nothing else out of the ordinary happens. ![]() I've been experimenting with food this last week to kind of know my limits with cantaloupe, etc. .....omg, I had one of those SBD Chocolate Crisp Bars for the first time this afternoon...how could anyone want a sweet treat better than that, guess it was because I've limited art sweetners....I have a feeling sugar isn't going to be a problem because there will be plenty fruits and sf choices. Last year I did pretty good, gained 4 lbs then fell on my face after I got home. Hoping this year will be better, I think I can, I think I can.... Love you guys! Marva ![]() |
