Switching from phase 1 to phase 2

I have noticed that i am very hesitant to go to phase 2.... monday was 3 weeks on SB and i am still eating a phase one menu. I dont think i am doing it on purpose but i am a creature of habit and once i find a food i like i tend to stick with it. I am hesitant on adding any kind of whole wheat bread because i dont know if i can control myself with the portions (I LOVE BREAD)I really dont know what foods i would like to add.... that is a big part of my problem too. the next time i go out to eat i might get a sweet potato... but other that that i cant think of anything
i know i can add some fruit, but i really dont have any desire too, which is weird because when i first started i said the first thing i was going to add to phase 2 was an apple.
Sorry for the rambling... if anyone has some simple suggestions i would love to hear them... it has to be easy because i work 12 hrs and i try to eat something every 3 hrs so i have to pack several things to take to work with me
Thanks

Ana - you really do want to take that leap of faith and come off Phase 1. I'm sure read the book where Dr. A says that even though we are tempted to stay on Phase 1 you really do need to go to Phase 2 for the program to be most effective. I started off adding grains back very slowly. I would eat 1/2 cup of yogurt to start as a snack or 1 small piece of fruit and 1 slice of bread. It was weird at first but I took baby steps. Why don't you try that. I thought I'd go hog wild with the grains but I didn't. It's only now that I'm in sort of a pre-maintenance mode that I eat grains sometimes 2 or 3 times per day. I hope this helps a little.

Add only one food to your routine at a time and see how your body reacts. If you add more than that and stall then you won't know which food is the culprit.

Just go very slowly and you will do great. Trust that this works and will get you where you want to be.
