Any Recipes?
Does anyone have any recipes for any Phase?
Here's one I found--I'm Asian and grew up and love sweet bean cakes. It looks strange, but boy is it good. Phase 1 Black Bean Brownies Preheat Oven: 350 Fahren 1 15 oz. can unseasoned black beans, drained and rinsed 4 eggs 1 1/2 Cups Splenda (1 Cup Wheylow) 3Tbl. unsweetened cocoa powder 1 tsp. baking powder 2 TBL. oil (or 2 TBL. unsweetened applesauce for Phase 2) 1 TBL. vanilla 1/2 Cup dry non-fat milk 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 Cup ricotta cheese chopped nuts, optional Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Pour into an 8x8 pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cover with plastic wrap to keep fresh. I just made this and it was really good. It was light textured, more cakey than fudgy. It's a keeper. |

mre - see up at the top of the forum - over the weekend, a Sticky was posted that we can use as sort of a "cookbook" for South Beach! There are some AWFULLY YUMMY things in there already and it grows every day!!!
Those brownies look interesting - I love black beans, but I'm afraid to put them in a dessert!!! lolSBD Recipes and Meal Ideas Last edited by TraciLew : 06-14-2005 at 02:29 PM. |
