This is SO hard, does the "unfull" filling go away?

I am a CARB. ADDICT. I know this, but with each new hour, I'm so un fufilled! I know it's the bread, crackers, pasta, ect. I adore that. I miss it, I know this is two weeks, and I know I'm not going to fail, but MAN. This is so hard!

I'm on my 2nd full day. I'm getting SOOOOOOO sick of eggs! I need more snack type things to munch on when I'm hungry that taste good and kinda fill me up. I'm sick of eggs and cheese. I'll have sliced almonds, but I know I can't have to many. I love the crunchiness of them.

The headaches yesterday were SO bad, anyone else get them? Do they go away? Are they from no carbs?
And I'm weak. Last night and even today. I don't want to do much. I think my body is realizing that there are no carbs. Do you?

Anyway, someone tell me that by the end of this week things will be good for me? It'll get better right? Will I suddenly get some energy from somewhere and enjoy all the foods I'm eating? ;P

On a good note. Last night I made the best chicken breasts maraniated in olive oil, lemon juice and lemon pepper. It was to die for! - Of course everything I had with it was gross.... But oh well.

Thanks for listening to my whine. I've never gone on a diet before, and my triglicerides are 233 - Thus the need for this diet. I can do it right?

THx

Thanks so sharing Laur and I know what you're going through, it usually took at least 3 days for me to whip it, the sugar addiction.......eat protein, eat some celery too, that helps me. When I get that really hungry feeling, I eat thinly sliced turkey pastrami and a dill pickle, those tastes seem to help.

my triglicerides are 233 - Thus the need for this diet. I can do it right?

Me too and yes, we can do it right.

Please keep us posted!

When I get really, really hungry, I eat celery with hummus, some cheese, som nuts, or a big old salad! Usually works! I also drink a ton of water.

I hope this helps! It is hard the first few days, but it gets so much easier! I was a HUGE carb addict and I have only been doing this since Wednesday of last week and I already feel 100% better!

Hang in there!! By the 5th day you will be feeling so much better, more energy, less hunger. If you are hungry, EAT!! Protein, veggies, yogurt, etc. anything to help you feel better and full. You are going through carb and sugar withdrawal, but once the crap is out of your system, it's a breeze!!

DON'T GIVE UP!! YOU ARE ALMOST THERE!!

Drinking lots of water can help with cravings as can cardiovascular exercise.

Go to the gym and spend a half hour on the stationary bike or treadmill. That will help a great deal.

And before you know it, the cravings will be gone from the results of the diet.

the first time i did low carb anything it was total madness for like 4 days, but then things really settled down and my body stopped throwing a temper tantrum. i struggle now with that pit in my stomach because im going through this weird cheating phase where i think i can just eat crap again and get away with it... i really need to snap out of that! but things do get better, check the food lists and try new things, the options are greater than they seem!

I'm rarely hungry now and sometimes have to force myself to eat. I would say it took 4-5 days for that to set in.
